I've often not apreciated all the good things in my life; not unlike many others
Having nearly lost many of them over the years;I now truely appreciate all the good things I have in my life
After spending 19yrs. in pain 24/7; I now appreciate ANY TIME I am only uncomfortable & not really in pain.
I used to complain if I only slept 3 or 4 hours; now I 'm greatful if I sleep that long!
I used to feel that doing the laundry for a family ( in washer & dryer) was a lot f work...Now I'
m greatful that I have machines to do it for me& that I am able to get it done,
I used to think that a bowl of soup & a piece of toast was boring & insufficient.Now I'm greatful; for & look fowrd to such simple meals.
I'm greatful to have lived long enough to appreciate a ll I have instead of thinking I need "MORE:"!

In the last 20 years I have learned that I am married to the most wonderful man,he is my best friend and we have two beautiful (boys) men that we are very proud of.I could have died 15 years ago when I had a heart attack,I have learned to really appreciate everything in my life no matter how small.I appreciate all this extra time I have been here with my family and friends.I'm in pain most of the time and look forward to the times I am not.I'm lucky to have the sight in one eye and have learned to work around this.My illness has brought me closer to God.I have learned that 95% of the things we worry about never come true and the 5% that does happen isn't as bad as we thought it would be.I have learned to live for today and not worry too much about tomorrow.

I just celebrated my 50th wedding anniversary and am amazed by that. Also we have had the honor of being short-term missionaries to Honduras 7 times! We have been to El Salvador and Mexico. Also we have been to Israel. We have had a blest life.

Fifty-four years of marriage.....one caring, loving, understanding husband....two wonderful and helpful children.....three amazing Grandsons, aged, 27, 23, and 5....and knowing that I still have a few years left to enjoy all of the aforementioned!!

I too have a wonderful husband and family. However, the thing I have learned is that you can never stop learning. If you do you just are out of touch with all that is going on in the world. I am not very tolerant of ignorance.

I've learned that I have a wonderful husband who loves me very much and would do anything for me or our boys.

I've learned that my family is very important to me.

I've learned that things change and you have to learn to accept it.

I've learned that I'm not as young as I used to be and things take more time to complete because of it.

Anne, Before I even went to the post I knew it was you. You really have a knack for getting people responding to great subjects. Since I am about to have another big birthday, I think I have learned a lot over the years and am learning something new every day. The biggest thing that I have finally learned, although it takes a great effort on my part, is patience. GRANA here; Hi BARBARA; I was taught that the difference between ignorance & indifference is
"I DON'T KNOW& I DON'T CARE"; I too have little/ no patience for either;
untill we know; FACE/CONFRONT what we do not know; we 'll never see the need to increase our KNOWLEDGE.
There are a multitude of appropriate sayings about chosing to remain ignorant/uninformed. It's an all too common affliction!

I've learned that no matter how much I try; I can never be as perfect as I would like to be;I therefore must be content to know that I did my best, even if it falls far short of my original goal!
I also try to be as accepting of others' lack of perfection & try to praise them for their sincere effort instead of pointing out their failures

I have learned that I have a wonderful husband who has always put me first and still does, even though he is suffering with problems with his MS. We will be married 47 years on April 24th. I also have two wonderful grown sons who are very very helpful and wonderful. I thank God every day for my husband and my sons. I had many miscarriages and am very very fortunate, thank God to have them and my husband.
