I have 8 grandchildren ranging from 1 yrs to 26 yrs and 2 great grandchildren! There are days when I feel every bit as old as that sounds too!! Like today when I took a 10 yr old and a 14 yr old shopping at Sams Club!

Ann, you are a riot...looks like you have way way to much time on the computer.
As slow as I type the snow balls would melt before I got them across the screen.

I, too, enjoyed watching Julia Childs on the TV. Such a wonderful person and cook. I have a cookbook by her, too. Such a lady!!!

I'm already there:grandma of 6; ages 3 yo to 22yo. I taught 3 of the girls how to cook & bake(the boys played macho man, so hubby taught one of the boys how to wash dishes= "division of labor"

Hi ERICA ;me too. & the "galoping gourmet &Burt Wolf; I've learned so much from these TV chefs; even Rachel Ray; all so much more enjoyable, to me than soap operas

I have Jeff Smith's cookbook(used & enjoyed often)

I wish that I could have been able to see Julia child's show but we never were permitted to watch tv. We all had to hit the books and do chores. We learned allot that was as well. I remember pulling a chair up to the stove to make my Dad a fried egg when I was around seven or eight. I guess that's why they nick named me THE COOK! I have been cooking ever since.
