This thought came to my head the other day. In high school I took a poetry class and this was one of them I turned in.

"Spring has sprung and now the budding will have begun."  Does this give any hope to the winter-still people?  :)  I'm pretty sure I made it up although I hated school and did what I could to not be there I usually showed up for poetry class and art class.

Mary Ann, yes Spring will be everywhere but I like to think of it as even though there may still be snow and cold nature is still working to wake up. I'm sorry. I didn't mean anything by it. Was just trying to cheer up some people.

Maryann, I was wondering if you could tell me more about cooking for the homeless? I usually try to go help out with the churches on hoidays when they have dinner for the homeless. It's only my daughter and I so that's what we do for the holidays.

We actually have a nice, sunny and warm day in OH today.  I'm not sure if the warm weather will stick around though.  The weatherman still said our temperatures are below normal for this time of the year.  I do have some flowers coming up though.

I guess sooner or later spring has to come everywhere lol.  Today it was almost 60 here and with the crocus blooming and the tulips coming up it sure seemed like spring.  Hope the warmer weather sticks around for a while.

It reached 80 degrees two days ago and sneezing (allergies) is in full bloom. Warm enough that spring bulbs are their way out.

We will reach the 60's tomorrow it was nice yesterday and today, compared to the past several weeks so I can't complain.  Actually I won't complain if I don't have to shovel.
Took a walk around the yard and some of the trees and bushes put in last year are starting to bud.

We've had showers for the last couple of days.  Remember "April showers bring May flowers".  We planted tomatoes yesterday, and quite a few pansy plants.  According to the pollen around, Spring is really here as everyone is sneezing!!!

Mary Ann,
I was looking through the forum and came upon your message. Could the "Winter Still People" be the sleeping flowers and buds that are to appear in the Spring? It appeared to be a lovely poem. Wish you could remember the rest.
