Colonoscopies are the pits.  Do you have someone to hold your hand and drive you home?  Since blue is my favorite color, I couldn't be happier.

Renee, remember that getting ready for a colonoscopy is the worst part.  After that the test is a breeze.  Good Luck!
As for the Super Bowl, sorry your husband will miss it.  However, we in San Francisco will really miss it.  BUT, There is always next year!!

Thanks again, Renee, for your husband's years of service protecting our freedoms. And thank YOU for standing by him! I'm not a pro football fan, but I hope your team wins!

Renee,  Thank you for giving my laugh for the day.  I love the sitting on the super bowl!!! i have had 2
colonoscopy's and the before is the worst. It is bad tasting yuck and I ended up just staying in the
bathroom. lol lol  The rest is the easy part. The really nice part is when they tell you "See you in 10
years"  Good Luck!!

Colonoscopies are important - a necessary evil.  Your husband and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

As usual we will be hosting the super bowl at our house. The sad part is some of the wives don't like to watch football so since I am the hostess, I will be engaged in coversation while hubbies enjoy game.

Thanks every one!  Yes Jane C. my husband will be home in time to drive me and hold my hand!  He just has the weekend duty, Fri, Sat, and Sun and will be home around 6P Sun evening.  I'm hoping the brunt of the Golytly affects are over and done with!

Yup, can't wait for test day....give me those awesome "I don't care what you do to me" drugs, go where you have to go doc, and send me on my way!

The joys of turning 50 last year are finally catching up to me!  Thank you for praying for me....I can use all I can get!

I have been a Giants fan since I was a little girl!  On a lighter side.....GO BIG BLUE!!!

PS: Mike says..."you're welcome"!

Renee, Just think of it as a test you don't have to study for! And unlike school you can sleep through this one and most likely still "ace it".
I found if I eat lightly the few days prior to the prep it "goes" a lot easier (forgive the pun).  I had soup and salads the two days prior to my prep.  Did not plan it that way but I was working the evening that I was supposed to start the prep and I couldn't start until I got home.  All went well and I don't have to have another test for 3 years.  Wow I can't believe it has been 7 years since I had that done.  Time flies!

And think of all those empty calories that you will not be having...
Splurge and have a night out with your husband the following weekend.

Thanks Nikki!  Yup, I've decided to cut way back on the solids starting the Thursday before.  The less in the less out right?! Embarassed

Renee -- Best wishes!!
I agree with the others who said that preparation was the hard part.  The actual test is easy!! lol lol.
Maybe 21-22 years ago I had to start having that test once a year.  My last one was 2 years ago and the
doc said I could now wait 5 years for my next one.  Whew.

I knew a woman that had to have them once a year along with a scan of her throat and esophagus.  Imagine them coming at you from both ends!

Renee:  Both you and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers.  Hope all goes well.  Will be praying for you.  Had my last one two years ago.  Test wasn't bad, but the prep was not great.

Thanks every one!  As some of you know my sister has stage 4 cancer and has been struggling for 2 years. She has had so many horrible tests and endured so much in the past 2 years....I'm sure I will survive a routine colonoscopy!  But still....yuck. Golytly is not going to be fun.
