Being from NY (best pizza ever on the planet except for maybe Italy) we now live in NC....where, sadly, there is no "real" pizza.  Soooooo, we make our own.  I make pizza dough from scratch and hubby (100% meatballa)  hand tosses pie every Friday night (when he's not deployed).  We make every thing from white pizza to traditional Italian pizza....depends on what we have a hankering for.  Nice thing about making homemade pizza is 4 quarters can be different!  And....not to mention how inexpensive it is!!

 my favorit pizza is the stuffed cheese crust and it was the best.

Renee, New York Pizza the best???? I think not!  You are not supposed to be able to fold a slice of pizza in half to eat it!.

We miss the NY pizza also.  Down here in SC, it is tolerable but not like what we are used to having.  I, too, make my own crust and add our favorites to the pizza.  Our son in Chicago took us out for Chicago-style pizza on our last visit.  That was great pizza too.
