Hamburgers have been an American favorite for many years. They are made very many different ways.I thought it would be " INTERESTING "  to find out the many ways we enjoy burgers

I want my burger thin, very thin and flat, very well done.  (steaks should be med/ rare but a burger almost burned).
The bun MUST be toasted.*
Some ketchup (only Heintz)  and a lot of onions - then some more onions.
If there's a tomato around it's good too, but not necessary.

*When I buy a new bag of hamburger buns I go head and toast all of them .... Then they go back in the bag
and into the freezer.  It's great having buns ready to go.

And I like a McDonald's quarter-pounder every month or so.

Long ago I used to visit one particular Bar & Eatery after doing some work there in a remodel. Bad neighborhood or not the 1/2 pound burger with the unknown ingredients, how delicious it was, thick slice of onion, lettuce, tomato(soaked overnight in vignagrette) on a buttered, toasted, fresh made, 8" across roll cut in half. It would take 45 minutes to eat and totally enjoy. For $3.50.
I haven't thought of that in 39 years. Be they aren't there anymore.

We have  a burger joint in town called Slap Daddy's and they have the best burgers.  They put mayo, cheese, tomato and jalepenos if you want them.    They are the best!

Actually my favorite burger is Morningstar veggie burger.  I have them with a dab of cucumber ranch dressing and a leaf of lettuce or spinach on a toasted English muffin
