Not here in AR,  my prayers and thoughts are with those who are - please be safe.  We used to vacation in Nags Head, NC about this time of the years when our family was younger.

I am in Virginia.  So far all I have seen is the wind picking up a bit.  But I am lucky enough to be 100 miles inland from the coast.  I can't imagine living out at Nags Head in NC or one of the smaller islands.  I feel terrible for people who will have their homes damages or even worse, destroyed.  One year I went to Nags Head after a hurricane had passed by and a house on the oceanfront was simply GONE.  You could barely see any trace of where it had been.  I can't imagine that loss.  Hopefully Irene will be much less than what the models predicted.

Millie, I can relate to filling the tub, as we are on a well also.  No power, no water.

I feel for those of you on a well.  I lived in a house for 30+ years on a well and can understand what it is like.
Will say a prayer that Irene heads out or diminishes in intensity before it hits the metropolitan areas. Although it does not look like she has any intention of doing that.
Stay safe friends and check in with us as soon as you can.

Susan, my neighbor works for the local power company here.  He and several crews were on their way to Pa on Friday morning to help if the power lines go down.  Praying for your safety and theirs and everyone else in the path of this terrible storm.

Right now we are getting heavy rains.  Winds are suppose to start picking up after midnight.  It's hard to know what to expect because the storm predictions keep changing.

I pray for everyones safety that is being affected by Hurricane Irene!
