Fellow VBB'S, I agree and sympathize with all of your frustrations,with this new site. I said this in a post,about a week ago.I feel VVB understands as well. It's frustration on both ends. Them trying to inprove a website,meanwhile,we just want our old website back. Hopefully it will pan out soon. The holidays are here,and I didn't realize how much I would miss visiting this website. Lets hope for the best.

i sing in every day just to see if thay have the old web back but thay dont.i miss it.with the old site i sine in every day to get my brown points. i cant do nothing on this new page. i dont even got brown points any more.
just put the old webpage back on

I wish they would or could fix the Recipe box, I have been trying to add recipes for a week & I keep getting an error message. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

And here I thought it was just me...   If Nestle's IT department would just have made sure the ite worked before turning the old site off.   I bet they test their products before they put them on the market shelves.  Don't they???

GO BACK TO THE OLD FORMAT !! NOT USER FRIENDLY SET UP ANYMORE - VERY FRUSTRATING TRYING TO NAVIGATE :(  VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS NEW SET UP.

Changes can be made without upsetting the entire site! New background, pics etc.  Navigating the new style is very interesting to say the least!!

This website and all Nestle's websites DO NOT work well.  They say they are making it better, however, they did not seem to ask the users what they would like to improve the site.  They also forget that sometimes there are older users who 1. cannot see the smaller letter fonts, 2. cannot see items on dark backgrounds, 3. get tired of navigating from page, find a new link, new page, find a new link, and finally turn somewhere else for the information and recipes.

It's like your beating a dead horse with a stick...
The old site is gone FOREVER. Deal with it.
I miss it very much too, but there is nothing we can do but adapt to the new VBB site. Eventually they will get it fixed, but in the mean time quit starting new threads about the same old thing. Come up with new topics.

I tried asking them about the old site at the first and got "we can't use the old software anymore so the old site will not be coming back" routine.

Figuratively, Nestle's isn't doing the site. They have contracted out to a website creating company called Pluck. The former site was by a company caled Eve. Personally, I feel Pluck did not do enough research on the original site/sites to know what they needed to do. I have seen a couple of other food sites they host and it is the same as here. A mess with clients posting at first then just giving up to the occassional post.

They could have followed the old format where things were simpler to find. The boards were easier to navigate. People were not just posting randomly to gain brownie points (that are actually, in my opinion worthless & if you think I am wrong, how many of you have won anything from them?). Those random posts are eating up space & my time when I try to see if there are new posts.

My recipe box is a joke! I had my recipes well organized so I could find them by category. There are categories now on them  but each one has several! I don't want them like that and can't change them. I tried only to click on the category I put them in and get the "you have no recipes" message. I also do not have any of my favorites that were from swapped recipes and the message boards.

You cannot update your address/name at all. Our user names are history and Pluck wants us to use our sign up names. I do not appreciate it sine id theft is rampant and anyone can see your info or could and didn't even have to be signed in.  Our helpful tips and videos are gone. I believe an administrator said they were on UTube? That is not a site I like because you can really get some nasty viruses on your system there. I know from experience. Thank God I have a relative who does troubleshooting, restoration, cleanup on computers as a career.

They need to shut this down and fix it before we all decide to leave it in frustration. I have asked repeatedly how many sites were merged into this one without any luck on an answer. I know chocolatier was added to it. Many of you are on here that are not recognizable to those of us who were on the regular message boards. I have noticed many mens names on here and we only had a couple on the boards I was on. One was Dads Cooking and the other was Christ Centered. They had not been on in a very long time.  So, which boards were all of you on?

They need to do a lot of work on this. Not just patch it but, start from scratch again and model it after the other site. This format is a maze and I do not like mazes. Especially when I need something quick. Fix the backgrounds of the posts too. When typing in a post, the letters are nice and dark. But, once posted (when it decides to let it post), it is a faded grey and very bad on our eyes. If you can't figure out how to fix it or won't, then post the address of Pluck and I and many others will send you our bills for eye exams and glasses.

I wonder if there is a website where we can write our reviews of this new revamp? Won't be a nice one I can guarantee you.

So Pluck, fix it or shut it down until you do before you drive away Nestle's clients!!!

It's my understanding this isn't available yet, but they are working on bringing this back to the site for us.

It would have been nice if they had given us a little advance warning about this new site.  I for one would have printed out a few more recipes that I wanted to save.  Virtually impossible to find most of them now.  Good luck to us all, we may need it!

I agree, I sign in every day and still do not get my points up-dated.  Will this change soon?  I am also having trouble finding the right recipe - it was so easy before now I have to go to other baking sites to get what I want....sad

We hear your concerns about the new site and are addressing them (search functionality, Recipe Box, Swapped Recipes, Message Board bugs, Brownie Point program) though not with the speed we would like.  We apologize for the frustration this has caused to you and appreciate the time you've spent with VeryBestBaking.com over the years.  We are making some major fixes this week and will announce them once they are live.

Cam is EXACTLY right. That's what I said a couple weeks ago... shut it down until it's fixed.

They keep telling us next week... next week... well still no fixes.
Wish they could of kept EVE.

I agree with what has been said.  They should shut down until they have everything in place and under control and give some kind of directions so we can find things.  All they are doing is creating ill will,
