Wow, I just tried to reply and discovered I wasn't signed in! That hasn't happened for awhile! Anyway, I love reading (with a cat on my lap), baking (with a dog or two keeping right on my heels to help me clean up if I drop something), crocheting (which is difficult with said cat on my lap!), and watching TV in the evening with the cats playing musical laps amongst us. I also enjoy theater, whether I am directing or acting - although since my spinal surgery and consequent difficulty walking and getting around in general, the directing side is much more doable! (No cats or dogs around at the theater, unless you count the ghost dog, which is one of the several beings haunting the Grand Opera House in Oshkosh, and yes, I have seen him once!)
Besides baking and cooking, i enjoy the outdoors; hiking, biking running. I also love to read and travel, but don't seem to find the time to do either.
Due to my disability, I have had to cut way back on my hobbies. I can no longer make a fghans; do crewel work or fancy embroideryI no longer teach basic cooking skills inarehab program. However, I can still read; cook& bake for my friends, family; the soup kitchen & for organizations to which I belong.I still formulate recipes for special diets( diabetic; low sodium; low fat/cholesterol .As needed I ty to do gluten free; vegetarian, anythingto allow peoplew/ special dietary /health issues to enjoy fave foods once again.
