In Response to Re: What are your hobbies besides baking and cooking?:
Besides cooking and baking, I enjoy reading. I have collected salt and pepper shakers for many years. Also collect magnets. When my husband was well and we travelled, I always bought magnets and salt and pepper shakers. I also collect cookbooks and liked to purchase them on vacation. I am also a Field Editor for Taste of Home magazine and have been in several of their magazines and cookbooks. In fact I recently received an email from them that they published a new cookbook entitled Taste of Home Best Loved Recipes---1,485 favorites from the world's #1 Food and Entertaining Magazine. Two of my recipes which I submitted are in this cookbook. Years ago I did a lot of sewing, made a lot of my clothing. Recently I gave away to the Church I attend all of the material, thread, etc. that I had. Also did a lot of crafts. Donated that too. Don't have the time to do either of them, with my husband's health problems and recently my own. If I have forgotten anything, I will add to it.

Marie, for a number of years I subscribed to this magazine and the Quick one as well. I would go through each new issue and note the recipes I thought would be good ones to try with the family. On this list I had the month/year/and page number noted so I could quickly go to my large collection of magazine and find any recipe I wanted to locate. That list has been one of the most used kitchen helps I've ever had. I still, after more than 20 years, use the master list and find good recipes.
I haven't tried all of the recipes on the list, but there's always tomorrow to try a different one!
