I love having a garden but every year it gets harder to deal with the end of the season. Don't mind taking care of the plants or even weeding (most of the time lol) but when I get to the point where there is no more room for the final harvests it gets to be a headache. I did get a little break this year since the fruit trees had so little on them.Next project will be doing some long neglected crafts since I have boxes, bags and a cabinet full of things. Will have to make some Christmas wreaths and miniature trees to give away as gifts. That will make my husband happy as it leaves our house lol.
Besides cooking and baking, I enjoy reading. I have collected salt and pepper shakers for many years. Also collect magnets. When my husband was well and we travelled, I always bought magnets and salt and pepper shakers. I also collect cookbooks and liked to purchase them on vacation. I am also a Field Editor for Taste of Home magazine and have been in several of their magazines and cookbooks. In fact I recently received an email from them that they published a new cookbook entitled Taste of Home Best Loved Recipes---1,485 favorites from the world's #1 Food and Entertaining Magazine. Two of my recipes which I submitted are in this cookbook.Years ago I did a lot of sewing, made a lot of my clothing. Recently I gave away to the Church I attend all of the material, thread, etc. that I had. Also did a lot of crafts. Donated that too. Don't have the time to do either of them, with my husband's health problems and recently my own.If I have forgotten anything, I will add to it.
