So far our winter has been warmer and drier than usual.  City folks are enjoying it but my farmer friends are hoping for rain or snow.  They also say some cold days are really needed in our part of the country.  The unusually warm temps are tricking quite a bit of our vegetation into growing and blooming way too soon.

Hi Linda - I lived in Omaha for 3 years - very early 1980s - and we always had plenty of snow in the winter .... more than plenty. LOL

Can't say that we've had any real winter here yet in central MO.  There were a few days of cold earlier but not lately.  I put some compost around my crocus and daffodil leaves that have come up already.  I don't want them to get zapped when it does get cold.  I'm sure it will sometime.  We've had a lot of snow around Washington's birthday some years.  i remember one year when I was teaching there was no school lbecause of snow around that time.

I think it was 1959 when here in central Illinois we had more snow in the month of March than we had had all winter (Dec, Jan & Feb)
I remember because i decided to commute to the school where I was teaching (30 miles) because we had such a mild winter!
March was awful!

I didn't have any snow so far this winter.  Odd, but it does not hurt my feelings.  LOL
