We're having baked baby back ribs, smothered in sauerkraut and cabbage, mashed potatoes, carrot coins, and fresh fruit and cheese to top it off.  Mmmmmm!  Guess I'd better get busy!  HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ONE AND ALL!!!  Right now it is snowing (has been since last evening) and we are now under about 4 inches of snow.  It is predicted that another 4 or 5 inches will keep falling, so by tomorrow noon, we should have 8 or 9 inches of snow!  That is the biggest snowfall we have had for this Winter.  Last year, and the year before, we could use a broom to sweep the walks.  Not this year!!  It's a good thing we live in a condo....the snow is shoveled and plowed away for us!!

Today it will probably be leftovers of pork and sauerkraut, or beef  tenderloin.   I may make bean soup with left over ham and ham bone as it's supposed to be cold.

Mary L....I never knew it was called a polish pot.  It is one of our favorite meals, and I have used chicken, beef, and baby back ribs to complete the "pot".  I also always mix roughly chopped cabbage along with the sauerkraut.  Yummmm!!  I'm glad we have some leftovers from yesterday for today.  I'll just add some more sauerkraut & cabbage.....that always gets eaten first and there is never any leftovers of that.

New Years Day I had to work, so for  supper we had beans leftover from Saturday.  Old New Englend custom was bake the beans on Saturday and have the leftovers on Wednesday.  I had just bought cabbage for 29¢ a pound so had slaw with raisins, cottage cheese and toasted cranberry english muffins.
