and i'm sad         i'll be picking him up from school today for the last time and he doesn't even want pizza
i'll miss seeing him daily although he will still come by on monday's to take out my garbage  and tuesday's to bring the can in       he's already informed me that now he can just take a list and pick up my groceries for me
and if he's like the other 3 g.nephews that i went thru this with that will only last until they loosen the strings and let him go more

Awww Nellie. Maybe you could make some kind of standing weekly date with him? Dinner? Lunch? Or something? I know it isn't the same though.

Nellie my heart goes out to you. It's nice to see our kids and grand kids grow but it's bitter sweet.Even when our boys graduated from high school my hubby and I cried.Just tell him you need to see him at least once a week because this is hard on you.I know you have a strong bond with him.Take care.

wow    he passed his test
and they actually let him drive over to my house near dark yesterday
today        he's coming by to eat pizza with me       he still has to call at each arrival and departure

and i guess i am overly fraught because of his hemophelia     and  i will still stay close to home around his drive times just in case

and i also had 2 of those       'midnight calls'     for my son   the first  at 16   where his best friend was killed and my son  came very close to losing his own life  head-on in a vw  with a dwi driver who made a left turn in front of him

Oh Nellie I hear you.I worry about my two all the time. One is 30 and married and the other 23 that lives with me.The younger one had the accident with his dads truck not too long ago.He was on his way to work at 2 am and when the phone rings 1/2 hour after he left I knew this wasn't going to be good news.I worry about both of them all the time.My older boy was held up at gun point about 10 years ago at Subway when he was working there.Anywhere there is money is a dangerous job today.People are nuts and will shoot you for a dollar.Your grandson having hemophelia I'm sure is an added worry. That's good that you worry about your family there are so many today that do not.
