Where I live in upstate NY I figured certain things would be cheaper.  I'm surrounded by farms and wonder why I pay a lot for meat/milk/produce.  Everything's going up but my paycheck.  I know I'm lucky to have a job but no raise for 2 years doesn't help.  Companies should give a cost of living raise so we can at least pay for food.

The price of gas has gone down but I have not seen a drop in the grocery stores.
Even the paper bags have gotten smaller(I get 1 a week to use to recycle the papers), maybe those in "power" think if the bags are smaller, we will not notice that we are getting less for our money.

GRANA  here;
Last shopping day( Wednesday) I got a boneless pork roast to serve 6  for only $1.99 after using a coupon;combining sales  & coupons is the way to get good prices  these days
BTW: the meat was so tender& juicy that we wanted to finish  it off, in one sitting;
Hubby decided 2 helpings wasenough for him( usually a non meat eater) Ipromised him a potato casserole to go w/ any leftovers he could leave; that convinced him that 4 slices was ample.Wink

Everything at the stores is getting wierder all the time.  Today I wanted to buy chicken breast.  There was skinless chicken breast with the bone-in for $2.29 a pound.  Right next to it was the boneless, skinless breast for $1.59 a pound.  Never seen that before lol.  Why would I want to pay more for bones?  Easy choice today!  Too bad that won't happen with any other kinds of meat.  Pot roast is outrageously priced.

Grocery shopping has become a deplorable chore for me!  Everything's gone up on price and for no reason!  I understand raw goods but paper goods/detergent/snacks?  There's no difference in the way they're processed so why the increase?
