Verlee and Gale,  I do the same thing every week too! Coupons really help! I also have a hubby that needs to stay out of the stores too.  He is always buying stuff that I can't have on my diet. It really makes it hard for me. He is always saying what a good deal that he gets and then I tell him I could have gotten it cheaper with the coupon.  lol lol

My hubby only goes to the grocery store when I give him a list of stuff to get.

our kroger store had progresso soup for 1.00 all last week and store brand crackers also for 1.00 and they give me an extra 10% off store brand products---------------i never would try store brand crackers-----but i found last year that they are actually crispier and have more secure wrapper on the stacks than the premium brand i've always bought
milk was 2.49 gallon

My Kroger store had a deal today where if you buy 10 items (your choice of many)  you get $5 off at check out.  The good part is all the irems are on sale to start with and I had coupons for a lot of them.  Triscuits were $1.99 and since they were part of the $5 deal 50¢ was taken off each.  I had a coupon for $3 off 3 so I only paid 49¢ for each  box.  I love deals like that.

In Pine Bluff, AR grocery prices continue to rise.  There seems to be fewer manufactor coupons, too.
