After 18 hours of labor they did a c section.  He was 10 lbs 2 oz, 21 3/4 inches long.  He was 7 days overdue.  I get to meet him a week from tomorrow.  No pictures yet.

Congrat's on the birth of your grandson today. If this is your first grandbaby, my advise is to cherish every moment, as they all fly by way to qucikly. Our first and only Grandchild was born 26 months ago and in a flash she has gone from a 8 pound bundle to a walking tornado getting into all kinds of mischief.

Don't you just feel on top of the world?!!! Congratulations to you and to his parents. Love him every minute. Time really flies, and you need to make the most of every moment you are with him. My oldest Grandsons (27 & 24) live miles and miles from us now that they are grown. The five year old lives about 3 1/2 hours from us. Because of my husband's health and the fact that I do not drive, we have limited time with him. But, when he does come to see us, we keep him and send the parents on a holiday!

That is wonderful to have a new grandson.I have 4 grandsons and 3 granddaughters.
Each one is special but the 1st one is extra special. Hope to get to see him soon.

Best wishes on the new addition to your family. I know that you will adore your time with him. Everyone is correct in sayiing that they grow up too fast. I have 2 grandsons in college, 2 granddaughters in high school ,and one in middle school. I keep saying where did the time go? Congratulations!!!

Thank you all for the good wishes. They live 12 hours away. Yes, it is the first grandchild. Baby Xander is in the NICU because of an infection, may be in there up to 10 days. We may get there before he comes home. Daughter comes home Tuesday. I've got lots of meals planned already.
