While gardening this afternoon, I found a tomato growing on one of my plants, and the potatoes are pushing through the surface!

Nothing planted yet since the weather is so crazy.  If it doesn't rain tomorrow, maybe I can at least plant some lettuce and peas since they prefer cooler weather.  It was warm in the sun today but still too cool to put out any flowers.

A slow steady much needed rain is falling outside. We are under a drought  from previous years. I hope that all community gardens, home gardens and various farmers are helped by this rain.

I have tomatoes, peppers and eggplant started inside.  The weather has not been cooperating to get the ground prepared.  It has been too cold and rainy.  I'll start cucumbers and zucchini inside and hopefully get them out before they get very big.  I like to get them started so i know how many seeds have come up.  When putting the tiny seedlings outside, they don't realize they've been moved.

Over 3 weeks ago, I planted 27 tomato plants in 5 gal. containers, 2 jalapenos, and
last week I planted 7 zuccini plants . This is the San Diego area so we get to plant
a lot earlier than some of you. They are doing well.

Ground is still too cold as it has been only 35 the last 2 nights and then more rain the last 2 days.  I may not be able to plant anything until at least the middle of May.  Unusual for this area.

Nice and sunny today but I'm so tuckered out from mowing and fertilizing, the garden will just have to wait another day.  Nothing in there yet besides strawberry and raspberry plants.  Not sure if the strawberries will make it yet or not since the rabbits were munching on the leaves before I got the new fencing up.
