I went to my profile to see what I put down over a month ago.  Strange but it said "Stop following the baker."    I did not know what that was.  I have never followed anyone, so I don't know why that was in my VBB profile page!!!   I'm new here and just enjoy the discussions and recipes and try to contribute.
So what is up with this site?  The info about following someone is really weird.  It sounds like stalking??       Posted DiAnne H.

I can't imagine what it is. I would write VBB and ask them why you are getting this message. Strange to say the least.

What a strange message.  It sounds like another one of the problems that have come up when they switched the site.

You can "follow" a baker so all their posts will also show up on your profile.  This way you can see what they have responded to.  If you later decide that you don't want to look through all their posts to find one that you are looking for you can "stop following the baker" that just means that their posts will no longer appear on your profile.
If you look at the bottom of each post there are several statements you can click on as well, the one that says "Ignore..and then a persons name..if you click on that I am pretty sure none of that persons posts will appear on your screen.  The report abuse is pretty standard. the reply to this post we have all done that.
If you want to get a real official answer re post this in the "Ask Very Best Baking" and post it as a question and they will answer.

That's it, Some other than my posts showed up in my profile and why would that happen?
I went to my profile because VBB told me to change it from private to open to see if the "delete" would go away after I post.  Now it says "Edit".   Another question, did that person get their brownie points when their post showed up in my profile?  I was not aware I was suppose to be following someone when I never knew it even existed!!

This is very confusing.  Do we have control of our own profile page?

This is very strange to follow someone's posts !!!! Why would you want too???

Thank you Nikki for answering part of this info, but I still do not understand the entire situation.  I knew I could count on you for an answer.  I e-mailed VBB and we will see what they think.

Any other bakers comments are welcome.

Strange problem. Glad I never got that one. The VBB team could fix it all by themselves if talked to nicely. Good luck as I have NO idea what else to do. Please stay and keep posting, it will be fun, promise...

DiAnne...

On the old VBB it was called, I think, a VBB Buddy, it was like adding the VBB member as a friend!  I have a few that I have added or invited as a favorite baker.  You meet so many nice people here, share recipes, ideas and tips.

Don't give up, it's truly is fun...hope you stay!

Thank you John, Marie, Susan, Nikki, Maxine and Maryann for your support.  I feel so much better and welcome to this site.  Sherry from VBB phoned me last evening about "following the baker" and explained it to me.  I told her that there is not enough information of where to go & how to navigate the site like it was before.  The swapped recipes are to return but taking longer to imput and they will be called VBB recipes. She suggested that we go to "What's new" and keep informed of the changes and updates.  They are really working hard to bring the site more user friendly & more  info. on navigation.  We need to be patient & wait while they work to restore it at OUR request.  She was very patient while I had a problem connecting to internet and Cooper was trying to get on my lap and would not take "NO" from his Mama!  I think she stayed late to call me, thinking 6 P.M. would be a good time to connect with me & she was very professional.  I believe in giving them more time to fix things.  The negitivity is so frustrating on both sides.

Susan, even the short time I've been here I feel the people are so very nice and caring.  I look forward to reading the posts.  I don't know what PM means. ??  Talk later, when you can. Did you get results from your test yet?

Hi DiAnne...

PM is Private messaging.  It's a great feature and it can be used lets say,  I posted a recipe and you have a question, instead of posting for all to see, you can send me a private message and I then can reply to you.

I got the results back on 2 of the tests and 1 more to go.  The Cat Scan came back good...yeah!  I am having a test/procedure done on Tuesday and hopefully I will be done!

Thanks for asking...take care!  :')
