As they say.."from your mouth to God's ear"  This has been a rough few weeks and I don't predict it will get better until the beginning of May.
With luck we close on the 28th.  Court case with/for my husband is on the 29th.  Movers come on the 30th.
Thanks for the kind thoughts.

((( Nikki )))  I hope and pray that you have family and good friends to help you through this. I wish I lived closer.
The  beginning of May will be here soon.... hang on.  God hears our prayers.

Angela - I make my own nectar/sugar water ..... boil one cup of sugar in 4 cups water  (or 3 cups sugar in 12 cups water - lol) , pour it in a plastic container to store in the 'fridge. Here are some "ant moats" that work wonders keeping ants away.  And the plastic ones that hold water last for years and years.  http://www.duncraft.com/index/page/category/category_id/252/category_chain/245,252/name/All+Hummingbird+Accessories/ And you'll find some bee and wasp guards on the same page.

Nancy,
Thanks for the tip. I will look into it. I get tired of wasting the nectar (sugar water) since the birds won't drink once there are dead ants in it.

Angela -- those "moats" that hold water are very effective.  If you keep water in them they work!  I promise - lol

The hummers are at our window feeders as I post.  They are fascinating.

I filled the window feeders with fresh syrup before we left to travel for Easter.
