Banana, butter in a freshly baked hard roll. As kids we had them after mass every Sunday. We use to stop to get the rolls on the way home. They were so yummy.

I enjoy Tuna salad sandwiches.  The ones from Subway and Panera Bread are really good, but I do make them at home too.

I like ham & cheese.  Hot or cold.  With mayo or plain.  But I need cheese on any sandwich I eat.

Hubby likes/loves anysandwich; any bread really... Spicy sauce & , condiments only make it " better"
Recently, he's become fond of  W*NDY's griled chicken asiago cheese bacon melt.Just spicy enough, not greasy & if he can "afford" a frosty to cool off his burning lips & tongue; he's as happy as a
"bug in a rug"

I really like Italian beef with hot peppers, extra "dipped" in the cooking liquid.  I also love Reubens, burgers with the works, home made tuna salad and cheese, grilled...I guess the list could go on for awhile!

Ann, I just saw your note about the tomato on the grilled cheese.I do like tomato on my grilled cheese but..and this is the thing it has to be a ripe, in season tomato.  I also love bacon on my grilled cheese sandwich.
Funny thing I like my Mac-N-Cheese the way I like my grilled cheese.  I will sometimes add sun-dried tomatoes and or bacon to the Mac-N-Cheese. (that way I "round out" my meal..Meat, Vegetable, Dairy, Grain..LOL)

My favorite is a Panini.  Could be sliced deli turkey, carmelized onion, slice of cheese, mayo or mayo/horseradish sauce all grilled and add fresh spinich at the end.  Chips, cole slaw, sweet banana peppers, dill spear (only Claussen) as side.  I use sliced chicken, ham, turkey and salami whatever I'm in the mood for.

My second choice is a grilled Reuben with corned beef or deli chicken, sauerkraut with thous. isle dressing.  Dill pickle, banana peppers and chips or fries.

GranA,  your hubby likes grinders huh? I put a pork shoulder roast in the crockpot at 8am today and put acup of water & a package of McCormics Original Buffalo Wings Seasoning Mix over it. It cooked on low until 5pm. I shredded it, added a bit of the juice to it, placed it on toasted hoagie rolls with a slice of cheese and added a side of chips. They were delicious! I just wish I would have had some red onion slices.

Hello everyone.
I love a grilled marinated chicken sandwich. Typically I will have it with grilled onions and mushrooms, with american or provolone cheese and mayo. Great on a torpedo rolll or in a wrap. Then again good semolina bread or a fresh onion roll works too. One must never forget the the garlic dill pickle.

Hi Nikki,
I had great tomato sandwiches this summer and your post just reminded me of them. Any toasted bread will do, but the tomato must be fresh and ripe, I agree 100% with you on that. I particularlly like beefsteak or the heirloom "ugly", thickly sliced with salt and mayo. I could eat these all day.
