Sandwiches are a staple in the American diet.What is your favorite sandwich?
Please share your own special way  to prepare your sandwich; w/ l&t;(lettuce & tomato)  on a wrap or a rolll; toasted or not; What”sides” do you like w/ your sandwich?Cole slaw Chips French fries Pickles( specify type), please No sides, thank you

PLEASE,SPECIFY;hot/cold?;  w/ our lives so busy; we can help each other out w/     meal planning by suggesting sandwich (& sides)   IDEAS
I'll start out:
Add a bowlofhotsoup to anysandwich; for an easy satisfying meal
;This time of year( cold weather)I like hot(open faced sandwiches( single slices of bread) of roast beef or turkey(thin slices); covered w/ gravy(  sliced mushrooms, optional.
For sides:mashepotaoes( more gravy)& a side salad or favorite vegetable: steamed veggie choice; crudites( raw veggies ticks/ small whole radishes, tomatoes, broccoli florets served w/ a dressing/dip:ranch; French; Caesar; your choice
Add a beverage & dessert( fruit/cookies ;leftover pie/cake &
"IT'S A MEAL"

In cold weather, any sandwich w/ a bowl/mug of hot soup will work  for me;

In the summertime, a wrap w/ cold sliced meats;l & t, sweet onion slices; maybe alfalfa sprouts & a  drizzle of creamy dressing or lite mayo. any veggie choice for a side;ice cream for dessertWink(summertime) Smile

It greatly depends on my mood.
If "my" salami is on sale I will make a sandwich of the following:
Crusty french or Italian roll.  Volpi Salami (the only one I will use) Provolone cheese, Roasted red Peppers and a mildly spicy condiment called Giardinera.

When I feel like a"kid"
Has to be a Fluffernutter.  Sometimes I will make it with Nutella rather than plain peanut butter.

When I need a warm sandwich
Has to be a grilled cheese sandwich.

When I want to make a full meal of a sandwich
Slow cooked Pulled Pork but then I have to make coleslaw to go with it. Wouldn't seem like a pulled pork with out coleslaw.

Bacon, tomato - lots of tomato - on toast with MIRACLE WHIP.

Nothing else counts .... sure, a good hamburger is nice, turkey or ham is OK, but a bacon and tomato is what counts.
Oscar Mayer Center Cut Bacon and home-grown tomatoes on plain toasted white bread with MIRACLE WHIP.

Some potato chips would be good with this -- or potato salad and baked beans with a cold, cold glass of milk.

Hi JOHN............I agree;  no realJewish deli w/in 75 miles, so I make it  MYSELF@ HOME; gotta get  the "GOOD"CORNED BEEF, though & that's TOUGHFrown (so's the corned beef available in this town/city...still got my own choppers( teeth)so  I can still  manageWink

I love a grilled Rubin,piled high with thin sliced corned beef,swiss cheese,sauerkraurt and thousand island dressing.all on seeded rye bread.This is from Sliman's the best in the city.It was featured on one of the food shows can't remember which one.A big Kosher pickle on the side and Ice Tea.The next would have to be a great hot dog,such as a natural casing weiner,Nathans or Hebrew National,on a nice hot dog bun the kind you get from the bakery with homemade coleslaw and ketchup on the hot dog,a slaw dog with homemade potato salad and diet pepsi.Homemade sausage on a roll,nothing on it and cabbage and noodles on the side,diet pepsi to drink.I could keep going,I worked at Subway with my son for a couple of years and let me tell you it never got old,you could make so many diffent sanwiches and salads oh how I miss that.

Yourfave sandwichiswhat we oncecalled"an Italian"; served " on an Italian" bread half;split...hubby liked his w/ pepperoncinis(whole pickled /spicey-hot  banana peppers).
?Do you put a slice of tomato on your grilled cheese? 
Have you ever tried grillingyour tuna( tuna melt)or PB sandwiches?; nice on a cold daySmile

Probably a grilled cheese sandwich.  In the summer, I love a tomato sandwich on Italian bread/roll with mayo.  Has to be fresh garden tomatoes, though!!!

GranA,  your hubby likes grinders huh?

I put a pork shoulder roast in the crockpot at 8am today and put acup of water & a package of McCormics Original Buffalo Wings Seasoning Mix over it. It cooked on low until 5pm. I shredded it, added a bit of the juice to it, placed it on toasted hoagie rolls with a slice of cheese and added a side of chips. They were delicious! I just wish I would have had some red onion slices.

I like a mushroom swiss cheeseburger with grilled onions, some Miracle Whip and ketchup.  I also like Rueben sandwiches.
