Gale, why do women cry at movies?  The answer is simple.  We understand a good cathartic cry when we have one.  A totally different cry from when you are hurting, physically or emotionally.  Everyone needs to cry for absolutely no reason at all.  You can use it as an excuse to let out all the "little cries" that never get out.  Sort of like a good scream once in a while.  I do that with windows rolled up in traffic occasionally.  Feels real good to get some frustration out.

I would have to say all of them.  Just some more than others.  I flip between  Hallmark, Lifetime, and ABC family channels.

The hound is Seymour; he was one of my fosters and got adopted almost a year ago.  I hear from his basset-slaves quite often and he is doing great, and spoiled rotten!  If you squint real hard, you can see the Siamese in the foreground - that is Zinny, and he is the alpha-cat at my house!

We'd been fostering for a basset rescue for almost five years now - and somehow have managed to only adopt 2 of the hounds who have come through our home.  I love doing it, even though it's sometimes really hard to let them go!

Yes Josh it has to be the cartoon version.  The other just does not seem right. The other animated old Christmas specials could be re done but not the Grinch.

I love all the Christmas movies...especially the sappy, weepy ones.  I am a sucker for happy endings.

My all time favorite is Scrooge aka A Christmas Carol (1951?) starring Alistair Sim.  The remake with George C. Scott is a close second.  For a change of pace, A Midnight Clear, which is  set during WWII, the also makes my list of favorites.
