It will be interesting to see if my stepdaughter comes to see her dad.
She is angry with me so I have had little contact with her of my grandkids since March.
I just hope that she does not ignore her Dad but I suspect that she will not come over. I think she feels that since he does not know her he will not miss her visit.

So very sorry to hear that Nikki.  Guess she doesn't realize that she's hurting her children with her anger too.  My former daughter-in-law does that type of stuff and I know how my grandaughter feels about it.  Hopefully she will come to her senses soon.

We did get a visit last week and I think he knew she was there to see him, I spent some time with the grandkids showing them a ground squirrel hole the dogs keep trying to enlarge so they can catch the critter.
I have decided that this has gone on too long and I have to try again to resolve this.  That will be my goal this week.

 good for you nikki,  i'm so glad they came by
I sure hope you'll can work thru this, because no matter why she's upset with you
she really should realize that regardless of the care you're giving her dad, she's next in line for his care if she were to lose you   she should be trying to help you since he's ambulatory again she could take him out to eat or to a park w/ the kids just to take a little load off  after all, she's not mad at her dad, why punish him  whether or not he knows it
it's never easy for someone who hasn't 'lived' daily with this situation to understand the stress and daily decisions you make        and it's really easy to criticize things you don't truly understand
i'll say a prayer for all of you to resolve this

Since we've both lost our dads (and moms too) and we have no kids, Father's Day is just another day here.  nikki I hope your situation can be resolved.  Families should all get along.  Our always has.

Hi NIKKI P;
GRANA here;
 Just one more reason, I admire you : your willingness to see past the anger& hurt to do what is best for others;
So glad he was aware that she made the effort to  visit him.
