Since I no longer deal with snowstorms, my sympathies go to those who are still being beaten down by old man winter.  How are you all dealing with the "cabin fever" and ice?

After shoveling yesterday, all I want to do is nap lol. But the laundry is calling my name! And then there's dinner to be made. Think I'll make a pot of chili and some corn bread. Stay warm everybody.

hi everyone we have been lucky just 1 storm and a small 1 the big one just dropped rain on us here in seaford de we are south do up north de got hit its cold here in 30 i pray for everyone who got hit with all the snow and ice

I missed Bible study at church last night and I can't make it out for the usual dinner with a friend on Thursday nights. And I'd just love to make a shopping trip out of here. ~sigh~

My Adoration Chapel was cancelled today because of the frigid temperatures and we still can't get the car out of the garage and if we did we have an alley way the length of a football field that has at least 3 foot of snow to be cleaned. Today was garage pickup but even the garbage truck couldn't get down the alley. FREE SNOW! Delivery negotiable!

My kids went back to school today after being off for two days. They had a great time being off. It is still really cold here, but the roads have been cleared and I was actually able to get out and go shopping today. Stocking up for the next storm!!

Staying in and cleaning things, making grocery list for when I do get out and about. Grateful to have a warm home, food in pantry, cupboards and freezer. I will be going out with my list and will make chili in my crockpot. YUM. Talking to my two friends who live in Florida! I keep saying "I don't want to hear about their weather" Sunny, 75 degrees etc.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May stop @ the library and see what I find to bring home. That is about it, just staying WARM.

Hope everyone has a SUPER DAY.

Hi ANGELA ; We're doing surprisingly well, (InNewHampshire; thanks to the fact that our power is still on & so is the running water.I/we were able to take delightful hot showers today & be warm enough for comfort as we dried.Last night plenty warm under layers of blankets. I'm getting laundry done in prepration forr a weekend free of household chores.Not having to go outside;I'm able to enjoy the CURRIER & IVESpainting like scene outside our livingroom window.
With power still on we're able to watchTV;read,bake & cook so cabin fever is not a threat.I bet at times like these( winter storms) you are pretty pleased w/your decision to
relocate somwhere w/less severe winter weather???????????

Where are you living that snowstorms are not, a problem?
News reports stated that Southern Texas & MEXICO are both having to deal w/ SNOW & ICE

Spoke to my son in TX and with the low temps he said that some of his pipes froze. He took a few days off from work because of the icy roads, but went to work yesterday leaving a lot of time for the travel.

When the hurricanes hit you can sympathise with us Floridians. I know we in FL love to boast about our warm and sunny weather and then we complain when it is too hot. Go figure.

Ann,
Where else would I be living then in FL. Although we had some cool temps it is warming up again. I see that you have a wonderful attitude towards the inevitable. Can't stop the snow. I alway thought when I lived up North that it was God's gift even though there were some problems, but it does let you have time to smell the coffee or the fresh air so to speak.

We got 9 inches of the white stuff, it sleeted for about 2 hours so it kept the snow total down, hubby went out to shovel a little when it was about 4 inches, but the wind was blowing so much that when he opened the door he got hit in the face with snow, he decided to put it off till the morning. We had grilled cheese & soup for dinner, watched TV & I made a bundt cake for him to snack on & I had popcorn.

Got as much of the driveway that is necessary.
The sun helped a lot yesterday and looks like a sunny one today. Bitterly cold but sunny at least the brine mix they put down can go to work. Will be interesting to find out how long it takes to get all the lanes open on some of the roads. Many roads that have 3 lanes or turn lanes have one lane that is still snow covered. Gotta push that snow somewhere and it takes several passes in may locations. I sure am glad I am not a snowplow driver. No matter what you do someone is going to be angry at you. Not clearing fast enough, not clearing the right places first, on and on.
Have a great day. This month is short...March will go fast and the days are much longer...spring is around the corner.
