 Today I lplan(ned ) to go grocery shopping  -    DONE
 stay win budget--ALLMOST DONE pickedp  LOTS  OF TREATS FOR HUBBY THAT HE USUALLY will NOT ALLOW HIMSELFL
beer; snack bars &  brownieswhy we're over budget ( only$5)
Make a pint  of  Japanese cucumber salad so we can skip Saurday's cinese ake out to make up for the over budget grocery puchase - DONE

 GET VERYTHING READY FORsATURDAY'S pACIFIC RIM MEAL)  made by me@ home -DONE
 Do another 2 loads of laundry -  DONE; allbut the last load of dellicates into the dryer  &  away

I have a Home and Garden Show  Committee meeting this morning.  For Jefferson Co. Master Gardeners it is the 25th anniversary of our show and admission is free on this Saturday, February 9th.  Our profits go toward our Yourh Garden project and pays for seeds and plants.  School children kindergarten thru 5th grade are bussed in to lthe garden.  We help them plant and teach them about gardening.  Later they come back and help harvest what they planted and take produce home.

I'm watching my grandkids today since they have the day off from school....laundry is calling my name as well and I need to rearrange my freezer to fit all the bread and snacks I bought yesterday...and my weekly cleaning out  of the fridge has to be done too...

 Today i'm going to put up several different samples of paint and try to decide on one. I'm going to paint the bathroom once the weather has warmed up some. Since I rent the house I could just go with boring white which is easy to use when you are going to move so you can fix any nicks in the paint that strangely seem to appear when the house is empty. I am also leaning into maybe pastels. Hummm... I really like to paint & did work at painting houses when I was married (30 plus years ago!)

Today I completed last night's unfinished laundry
Innocent made some pretty good omelets& GREAT BURGERS
served up lots of JUNK FOODS, mostly  a few snack bars( TRAILMIX; FRUIT FILLED all bought at rediculously low prices to lure in those already  breking their NEW YEAR'S resolution to eat healthier& lose weight.
Our newly installed kitchen light  already is failing to go to full brightness, so we went shoping for a new one( a 4ft wraparound & bulbs for it we had a contractor come out togive an estimar: (2 young kids) ...They want nearly $400 & don't ven supply the fixture We paid 59 but got some good info& tips.We went to theBIG BOX store& picked out a fixture& bulbs
.They are having a contractor come out for install estimate ...huby might een do ithimself if they too are greedy But at least  it won'tcost us money.to find out
 If too costlyhubby might even do it him self if it is just too costlyr or might even do it himself????.Our regular contracor( plumbing& electrical is out of town right now but we could also wait for him to return.He has done many jobs for us ; always good work & fairly priced so rwe could wait for him

While atthe BIG BOX store we saw a pkg ofi16  namebrand energy efficient soft white bulbs
 pkg of 16 enery efficient soft whitebulbs  for under$4 We weree down to our last spare bulb  For less than $4 it was too good to pass up in the middle of a  long dark winter


We went fixure shopping at the BIG BOX store& are waiting for their
FREE estimate of installation since I am nota ble to assist hubby& at going n 72yo w/ heart problems, he hesitates balancing a large f ixture while on top of a ladder; he's done it in many of our homes & would rather not risk injury if pro install is affordable,perfectforstocking u...We had only one more lightbulb left  at homewhich could be a poblemin these next dark winter weeks
I had fully intended to relax& read today buthad no time to doit.
I ha planned omemorizethe use of the pcrn key on ynew Microwave oven&  tried it out:WOW!
 It tok less time&  opped more kernels than my old one;Now that wefund a saturated fatfree heart healthy popcorn we're both enjoying it more oftenCoolSmileAnd Maestro just loves popcorn Smile

I 'll do some more packing,I have a few phone calls to make.I just sit here and think about my husband and about all the happy times here in our home.It's difficult to be leaving here but I really don't have a choice there is just too many things here that I can't take care However .the friendships I have made here will continue after the move.Well I need to get going and head out to the kitchen and see what I need to do out there.

Girl Scout Cookies cme today so I am going to sort them for each girl and then their parents will be there
to pick them up afrer school. I am the Service Unit leader so we have 252 Cases coming in for our
small town.

Spent the morning with my husband.  He is doing much better, walking with a walker.  The wheelchair is gone.
Now just have to get him used to toileting again. After weeks of asking they did remove the small commode from over the toilet and put a raised seat on the toilet so at least it is more comfortable and looks a bit more like a "real" toilet.  That should get him used to it again.
I sure would love to get him home by the end of the month.

Sara, how I miss the cookies.  I used to be a leader when my daughter was a junior scout.  Now we hardly have any girls come to the door to sell cookies.  Occasionally I can find them outside a grocery store.  I'd buy some if they came to see us!!  Good luck with your sales!!!!

 H M, If I may ask, what is the therapy for? I'm always curious as I used to work in physical therapy. Like the hair dresser can't stop looking at other peoples' hair in the stores-it's habit. Or the doctor that looks at other people outside of the office and sees things wrong with people. Or the policeman (or woman!) that spots out the shady looking characters in places. Hey this could go on forever! I guess I'll stop! Smile

I'm taking a break now.Still packing and starting the move tomorrow.We are doing this slowly I'm not as quick as I used to be that's for sure.We will be renting the truck at least one more time.It's just so hard to leave here so many great memories.my home for the last thirty years.Now I'm crying I have to stop this.Now I'm going to write my thank you notes to all that came to my husbands service and get those mailed out.My son is taking me out for Mexican food tonight.

Thanks Vicki for your kind words.They are healing tears.I have to keep going so many things to do.My younger son has been my rock through this whole thing.We talk and remember good times.We cry together.He wanted to go out to eat tonight saying that Dad wouldn't want us sitting around all depressed.It was strange going out to dinner without him.Thanks again Vicki.
