I'm just about ready to go to my daughter's, as we're going to make egg rolls today.  Don't know what else I'm going to do, but later this evening I'm going to watch a movie with my hubby. The title of the movie is... Take Shelter.  I hope everyone has a great day!!

So what are you all doing today?

We went to Church this morning and out to breakfast with our "Breakfast Bunch".  Nothing planned for the rest of the day.  It is cloudy, dark, and dismal, (not to mention COLD), to we'll just vegetate in front of the TV for the rest of the day.

My husband will have football on most of the day.  We have to find out who will be playing against our "49ers" next weekend.  I, however will be baking cinnamon rolls to freeze, and working on my cross stitch.  I have been working on a piece called "rejoice" for my granddaughter for about 3 years. ( not constantly, however).  It is a very detailed picture of four girls dancing.  The background is tedious to say the least.  I have decided that I have to finish the piece for her high school graduation in June.  She is graduating from a charter school that is an "Arts" school.  She is a dancer, and is right now auditioning for about 10 college's dance programs.  This weekend she auditioned for Boston Conservatory, and Southern Methodist University.  Next weekend it is University of North Carolina and Manhattan Marymount.  The list goes on and on.  My daughter and she are traveling all over.

Today I plan on baking a pumpkin sheet cake w/a cream cheese frosting, plus I need to make some iced tea, do some laundry, and the usual house cleaning.

Helped with my husbands rehab this morning.
Did a bit of cleaning as well here before I headed out.  Lots more that needs to be done.
Did a bit of grocery shopping.
Back to the rehab/nursing home later.

not much until a few min ago when my son called and said that my g.s. had a broken wire on his braces and had made a 2:15 appt at orthodontist  to get it fixed
since the weather is so dreary i thought to take advantage of having company on a couple of other errands i've been putting off and there was also a coupon in sunday's paper for     logan's roadhouse    for $5.00 off right by where we're going i can bribe him with a good meal       i'm picking him up at noon to accomplish all before the appt        and the traffic gets too heavy

I'm going to tackle the storage closet which is a huge walk-in one. My house is a two bedroom but only has the huge closet and one in a  bedroom. This being the case there is everything in the walk-in you can imagine. Three piles: to go, to keep and to donate. Sounds easy but we'll see... I lost 40 lbs last year and I have clothes to donate which includes two coats which I'm sure someone will need.

Congrats on the 40 pound loss..if it was intended.
I am sure the clothes will be welcome.

I have an idea for you if there are things you are not sure of.
Hang them with the hanger hanging backwards. If that makes sense.
After 1 year if there are still things hanging backwards you know you have not needed them in a year so they are safe to get rid of.

I do have 2 pair of pants that I will not get rid of they are the pants I wore before I lost weight.  I just had to keep 2 as a reminder.  I used to wear them to work on Halloween as a scary costume.  I could not think of something more scary than a pair of pants that was 7 sizes larger than what I have on now.

Let's see....it's Tuesday....garbage/recycling gathered and readied for the curb, baked 5 loaves of blueberry bread and a dozen blueberry muffins (I baked a Blueberry Buckle on Sunday) (blueberries were BOGO can you tell?), rode my bike for 90 minutes, cleaned up the kitchen twice, and got a package ready to mail.  Then I made supper.  Time for a dip in my tub and then a snack!

Thanks Nikki! Yes it was intended weight loss. I like the idea of turning the hanger around. I too have kept a pair of pants around to remind me of "never again!" Your pants were 7 sizes larger?!

The last three days were spent getting things ready for my hubby's service at church.I'm actually enjoying getting food prepared for this.So many friends and family are pitching in too.He enjoyed all the get togethers with family, friends and neighbors. This will be his final send off and I really want it to be nice for him. This is a time to celebrate his life.He was such a wonderful caring person that  touched everyone whom he had contact with.I know he is at my side helping me through this. He's whispering in my ear make sure there's enough to eat.:) There will be there always is.

Gale you make me cry. You sound so brave and I'm so touched by reading this. You are pulling this off with more class than I would ever have. I'm sure that you & your honey have touched many lives.
