Good morning, Gale!  Fell asleep listening to the wind howling around the house, very grateful that we have a warm home and soft, comfy beds and covers.  It made me remember those who are not so fortunate.  We did not get as much snow here as predicted, although we are still under a blizzard warning, but the wind makes it dangerous to be out and exposed.  I pray all the homeless in my area found shelter through the night...

The four people in my condo unit (three of us are "older") are fine.   The younger woman to my left and the older people to the right know to call if they need help .... or a cat sitter.
It's so good to have that long, hard storm over.  We won't get more snow until Sunday,

TV just said that the groundhog saw his shadow ..... spring will be early.

I am in NC, southeast down by the beach.  It is VERY windy, rainy and quite warm. Hopefully no tornado warnings for us today. Other than that I'm just plain old lonely. My hubby is TDY with the Air Force Cry and I can't wait for him to come home!!!

Digging out.   Had to dig so my little dog could go out this morning.  She was not happy until I cleared a longer path for her.
We have a very long driveway and it may be quite a while before it is cleared.  I am trying to tell my husband that it does not need to be completely cleared, the driveway is wide enough to park about 5 cars side by side so we don't need the width.  Anyway he has it in his head that he needs to clear it down to the gravel and the entire width.  So he will be at it for a while.  I shoveled for about an hour this morning and will be going back out in a while.

Think I will start a pot of soup and let it cook all day, sure not going anywhere!

Hi everyone ,I'm real glad you all are good,we lost power again but only for about ten minutes.Real windy here,a lot of the church's in the area were opening their doors for the homeless and those who lost power. On the news they were saying tens of thousands of people were without power, that's scary.I hope everyone else is OK.

We have "Sunshine" here in Michiana and it is a welcome sight.  My Primroses are soaking it up.  I love flowers, Spring, Summer, even Fall.  I bought three Primroses ) 2 pink & 1 Yellow)  and they are delightful!   We did not get over 12" of snow but alot of drifting due to the wind.  I am so glad everyone is doing great now the storm is over!  We are expecting 6 more inches from lake effect today, so I am enjoying this "Sunshine" while it lasts.

Schools, factorys, banks and even our Malls are closed today.  The largest Mall has not closed in 21 years!  If you venture out, you will be ticketed.  I'm glad I stocked up and enough in case my neighbors need something, I w'ill have it, hopefully.

SPRING...............SPRING.....................I can't wait...........but I can BAKE!!!

Did anyone see Matt Lauer & Meridith today.  The Ground Hog saw his shadow and Matt said:   Oh that means it will be an early spring, but on the back of his 8 x 11 paper he wrote  B LL.  All the crew was cracking up but Meridith couldn't see what he had written on the paper. They were expecting all this snow and ice. Then she saw it & said he would not be well liked in Pennsylvania!   I thought that was cute!

Hi all.  Great to hear you're all doing well.  Just got back a while ago from doing my mother's driveway.  I couldn't believe the huge drifts that the storm caused,  almost 5 feet high in spots.  Fortunately for me, one of her neighbors came over with snow blower or I would still be at it.  I am so grateful that her neighbors watch out for her since I can't be there all the time.

Hope you all keep warm since we're getting much colder weather now that the snow is here.  Stay safe and God Bless.

If any of you like the oranges, grapefruits, etc. that comes from the valleys in south Texas, you better stock up. The forecast is for snow and freezing weather all the way south to the Gulf of Mexico. Prices are going to soar!
