In Response to Re: ENTHUSIASM; needs a steady diet to remain active & healthy : that is beautiful! and as for your 2nd post, it doesn't matter what it is---after all we're at the water cooler. i have many quilts that my grandmother made into her 90's-----------i have pink tulips folded across my feet at night as extra warmth and all day for accent----------i have a red tulip in my living room and patchworks that are very old in my bedrooms and i love them all and use them every day i once had a neighbor scold me for sitting on a quilt in my yard----------she said that whoever made that quilt would be very upset if they knew i was using it that way----------------my grandmother would be upset with me if i didn't use them any way i needed------for that was why she made them

Thanks Nellie. My friend who taught me to quilt reminded me that once I give the quilt, I do not need to be concerned how it is used. It is a gift and becomes the property of the receiver. Already our granddog Taffy has slept on it and approves of it! Also, the quilt is made of non-bleeding fabric so it is entirely washable, just not to be agitated.
You are so fortunate to have the quilts your grandmother made. I'm sure she'd want you to enjoy them thoroughly in whatever way you want to use them.
Thanks again for your kind remarks.
