Just a hard learned warning! Yesterday, I went out to lunch with a friend, while eating my salad, I crunched down on an olive and the olive had a pit in it. Yes, you guessed it, I broke a tooth! Why t

Sorry to hear about your tooth.
Some years back my sister in law had gone to the shore and brought back salt water taffy.  I broke a tooth on it and had to have it pulled.  Had to end up getting a partial for the one tooth.  Not cheap.  Don't eat taffy any longer or chew gum.

GRANA  here;  whenI wasin thehospitalafterfirst son'sbirth [ 1963] I ordered  the corned beef &cabbage meal. Inside the pile of steamed/boiled cabbagewasa fully cooked HUGE catepillarSurprised.
Fortunately,I'm not squeemish & managed to eat all but the contaminated  cabbage & the catepillar
When my tray  was collected, , I mentioned  & pointed outt the extra " gooie" I got a shrug .
I expected better at $300+ day  ...Unfortunately, in a busy kitchen, things like this( olive pits; plasteic wraps & bugs) often   are served 'cuz nobody took the time to do a " final check" before lating/serving the food

Not a restaurant but right here --- blush --- blush
When I'm baking I just push back my hair and secure it with 2 or 3 clips.  I've never been worried too much.
At one of the dinners at church I was standing talking to a woman eating a cookie..... my cookie.
You guessed it ....... there was a long hair baked in that cookie.
blush-blush-blush
Oh, how awful and she Was Not Pleased.

Yesterday, we went to Applebee's for dinner.  I had the fish and chips because everything else (almost) was either blackened, cajun, spicy, etc., and I cannot eat any of those.  Well, I won't be eathing their fish & chips again any time soon!!  Six hours after we came home, I was in the bathroom.....non-stop.....for 3 1/2 hours!!  Not going to try that again for some time!!!  I'm thinking perhaps the fish was too old, or had been left out too long, or maybe even it was the oil that it was fried in.  Whatever, I am done with Applebee's for awhile.  One little note...I did lose 4 pounds!!

always end up in the bathroom in a short while. My daughter said it could
be the oil they use.

my g.s. and i go to applebees often-------------and he's often wanted to order shrimp-----------------but i've explained to him more than once that you should---------------' never order fish at a steak restaurant----or steak at a seafood place'---------------because if you order what they usually offer the product should be  fresher

Darla, I had fish & chips at an Applebee's in Holland, MI and it was terrible. It was fried so hard
that there wasn't  any fish left and the chips were really dark and nasty. I will never go to that
Applebee's again. That's a hard way to lose 4 pounds!
