i must get off and go to the county and school district sites and pay my school taxes today or they will add that dreaded penalty

i finally received all of my income tax forms yesterday all at the same time
so i have to do that soon last yr i put it off until april because of the computer mess i was having and finally had to go to my son's house to do them and i had a big surprise i actually got a refund for the first time in since i retired so i'll do them earlier this year

I have gathered all of the info that I need; but have not picked up the forms yet. I do my own with pencil upon the paper. I am still waiting for one piece of information from our financial advisor. For some reason, that one item is not available until 2/13 of each year. I guess they want to make sure they have every angle covered.

we are ready to file. we are lucky we don't have school taxs . we only pay 477 a year for tax s on 1 and 3/4 acre and no state tax

I agree that taxes is a DIRTY WORD!! I hate doing taxes and am not looking forward to getting started on them.

SWEET,WONDERFUL hubby has already mailed in our ax forms; nothing due& no refund expected.
Our state has no income tax & we use the short form; standard deductions But he had to withraw something from his IRA ( 71-5yo)& deposit it elsewhere including receipts of that

How many of our citizens avoid paying the taxes and then get off with just paying a small percentage after many years having a free ride?

I don't like paying any more tax than necessary. There is just to much waste by the government. Most folks would use their own money more wisely when it is left up to them.
