In Response to Re: Depending on machines for calculations:
When I was a cashier no matter what the register said I still counted back the change that was due the customer. We were taught to do this and never put the customers money in the drawer until the sale was final and they had their receipts and change in hand. There are a lot of con artists out there that just love the Dummies and love to take their money.I have had two cashiers in the recent past take my money and they entered in a larger amount than I gave them and they handed me incorrect change way too much, when I told them they became very angry,so I went to the office because I knew their drawer would be short and sure enough it was.I work as a cashier like I said and if we were short so many times in one year you could be terminated.I don't want anyone to lose their job.We as a society have become very dependant on machines to do our jobs, and it looks like the machines are now taking our jobs.We need to go back to the basics like true customer service done by a human not a machine, how irritating is it to call a place of business and a machine answers your call???? Push this button and this button,oh forget it !!!!!!!

I hate talking to recordings too! They neve have the choice I want to pick. So by the time I get to a live person I am cranky and annoyed.
