  • Great idea, Nikki.  I am going to change the time now, Saturday.  I have a hard time adjusting so a jump on it might help.

You all have a wonderful day!

In Response to Re: Day Light Savings Time:
I dread the havoc this will be for my husband.  Had a difficult time in the Fall when the time changed then.  With luck he will not be getting up at 2 or 3 am  or worse at 10pm like he did in the fall. OH, remember when you change your clocks...change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Oh nikki! I have friends that have coped with the same situation.  I hope you have an opportunity for respite care, or at least a support group.  It is so important that you take care of yourself too!!!!!

In our local paper this a.m. was a notice for one of our churches that are having their early service a pajama service.  To make it easier to get up an hour earlier just come in your pajamas!
Not only do you have permission to come in your pajamas, they are planning to fine non-pajama folks $5 to benefit their mission fund.  Nothing was said about providing breakfast - maybe coffee?

I'm changing them as I go throughout the day.  First changing things like lights, stove, upstairs clocks.

I don't like changing the time around.  It takes me at least a week to adjust.  I especially hate it that I always seem to "lose" my hour during the time I should be sleeping.  But I will change the clocks today - Saturday - before I go to bed.  One year my husband & I BOTH changed the clocks.  That was really confusing.  LOL

My clocks (except the one in the garage) are all changed!  I even did the kitchen range and the microwave.
And two of the 4 smoke detectors have new batteries.   Tomorow I'll get batteries for the others.
Oh, I feel good about this.

I buy new batteries every spring and fall and since I cannot climb the ladder to change them, I ask my husband to. He will NOT change those batteries as long as the little red light blinks! My grandson is coming over tomorrow to stay a couple of days and I'll get him to use the stepladder to change them. He is about 8-10" taller than me.

I too wish they would leave the time change alone.

Thankfully several of the clocks we have are the type that reset themselves.  Great timesaver and one of the best investments in a clock that I have ever made.  Don't think I would ever buy another clock if it weren't  one the ones that sets itself.

I love day light savings time because of the light and spring flowers, etc. A harbinger of the coming of new birth all around. Wish it could be like this year-round, but then we probably wouldn't appreciate it as much!

Clocks were changed, went to bed right after the movie which ended at 3am instead of 2am with the jump. Got up at 730am so did not get much sleep. Not a big fan of daylight saving time. Was hard for the kids going to school in the dark. They are grown now but grown now but have grands that will be leaving in the dark. Life moves on
