Hi -- If you get an email from me with a blank subject - don't open it. I have no idea in the world how this happened and I'm sorry. I ran 3 anti-virus programs on my computer and can't find a thing.

Same thing happened to my daughter, Nancy. I got one from her and it had a link, which I refused to click on. The sneaky people in this world will always find a way to exploit technology. All we can do is be vigilant and super careful.

Nobody will blame you Nancy. You didn't ask for somebody to do this.

I just feel awful .... a couple of people in my giant email list are very elderly and don't have much idea of what Nancy would send them that they shouldn't open.

It is so annoying that these geeks have nothing better to do than to cause people's computers to crash. Maybe we should start a prayer chain for them. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I've gotten emails like this....people who don't have anything better to do with their lives than sit and make up malware viruses really should be put under a rock some place.

year before last i got an e-mail from--------- face book---------subj---------(my niece ) has some new pics--------she had a new baby so i opened the message and clicked on the link-----when i did that it told me that i needed to download an update to my reader to see them-----------after i tried to do that i realized that i didn't even have that reader-----so immediately shut everything down and called my son---------------------it took 3 days to clear all the malware and viruses on my computer------we had to go to the safe part three times and run several programs before we got rid of everything-------------and for several months i had to go to my son's home to ck my bank accounts because i was scared to open them on mine-------------

I run my AVG, SuperAntiSpyware, and AntiMalware........ I used to run them every day then read some where that once a week was the ideal schedule - once a day was too often. Good grief. Now I run them every 3 or 4 days.
Why didn't one of them find any sort of virus last night?

because they design these things to go around our protections--------------------i don't know about a lot of things because my son or one of my grand nephews--------know how to do almost everything or who to call & walk-thru

also the computer guy in my newspaper says to go on malwarebytes.com for other scans to run------but i don't do any of this myself

i just learned about the safe mode on the computer when all this happened

I wish the people who create these virus programs would use their minds and time for something creative that would help people. Think how much better they could make the world. Praying for them is a great idea. Much better than my reaction.

Most of these scams lead someone to your personal information so they can try to steal your identity. It all has to do with money. Obviously they are too lazy to get a real job and earn their money.
Sorry, Nancy that you are a target, hope it all works out. I have had other friends that have been "invaded" it is a pain in the neck. Glad to see that you discovered the problem and have warned others. Good Luck!! Thanks for the warning!!!

HiNANCY;I reeived n email from you; my One & only [ SO FAR]ly ( I do not recall if there was a subject or not.I openedit & myNorton immediaely ran a scan & found " 3 threats" I deleted your email( unread) & ran a full NORTON scan; any & all problems were found & fixed by the software; no problems; no worries.I still do ot now what You wrote in your mail, since I deleted it before reading it as soon as a problem was found. Nancy, I got your email while I was out and clicked on from my phone. Could not understand why there was nothing. When I got home I saw your other one so I deleted right away the first.
Thank you for the warning and I hope none of your "elderly" friends were adversely effected.
