Thanks for the tip.  You can also write the companies and request coupons.

i used to do this with my sister          we had a shoebox      with envelopes (legal size) with the plastic tabs attatched       coupons were sorted by exp date first                 the env  were arranged in the aisle order of the store we visited most and we always went together , usually very late or early morning  with one keepng track of coupons used           and we really did save a lot

but now i usually shop alone      and i quit carrying a purse years ago    for safety         i have a small   wallet that fits in my pocket    no checkbook           and i find it hard to remember to take coupons

except like now my fav store just sent me about 20 good coupons  a few free ones
i will make a conscious effort to put online coupons together in this env and use them soon  they are good thru october          one of the freebies is a dozen eggs         and i have about 3 dozen now    i'll just wait until i need the eggs  and use all of them

with no stores doubling now      it loses something

The store that has a card sends me coupons. I guess it tracks the stuff I buy because the coupons are for all things I use.  This time I have a couple free ones. One is for frozen fruit which I use in my yogurt when fresh isn't available.  They don't expire until October so I wait for a sale and then use the coupons.  Better deals that way.  This store also doubles coupons up to $1.  If it is for 75¢ they make it $1.

In Response to COUPONS:
I just resently went to a site called the Krazy Coupon Lady which is FREE by the way. They were also featured on some TV shows ,it's a nice site that keeps track of all the coupons out there and also where and when to use them to save the most. They also teach you how to organize your coupons.I've decided to step it up another notch and bought myself a binder and trading card protectors to organize my coupons. They explain two different methods of organizing.I usually buy 4 Sunday papers for the coupons.Today I got 80 Bic pens free and 40 disposable razors free. This year so far at Giant Eagle I have saved about $2500.00 on gas, sale items, coupons and double coupon savings I've saved a lot more than this but the other stores I go to don't keep track of your spending.I've been couponing now for about 20 years and wished I had started long before that. This site also has all the major store coupon policies. They suggest having a copy with you to clear up any problems you might encounter.By having this knowledge it can save you a lot of hassles at the check out.I hope you check out the Krazy Coupon Lady and Coupon Mom two great sites that are legitimate and free. You don't have to be an extreme couponer to save big!

Gale,
Did you see the forum "Savvy Shopper?" They talk about fake coupons that were reproduced and when trying to use them, one of the VBB was embarrassed and in trouble.

Thanks for the info Gale.  I'll have to check that site out since I always use coupons for almost everything.  Some of the stores around here have started to do the download of coupons to their loyalty cards.  Saves a lot of clipping.

I've been clipping and using coupons for nearly 40 years. I can't stand to pay full price for anything! And I could have written all the books about how to use coupons...hindsight! I was using a few online sights for printing coupons, in addition to the ones from the newspapers. But recently both of the large chain stores that I shop at have added their own e-coupons. So I do very little clipping now, and I love what these stores have done. I noticed last week that Vons/Safeway stopped doubling all paper coupons, I believe to encourage shoppers to use the e-coupons. Times continue to change!!!

My Mom grew up during the Great Depression,so I had a good teacher. My mom didn't know how to do coupons like I do.I always wait for the item to go on sale then I take it to my store that doubles the coupon (up to and including (.99 cent or $1.98) Yesterday I went shopping and they didn't have one of the items I have a coupon for so I got a raincheck and I'll pick this up next week.I spent $52.09 and saved $ 54.44 so that's less than 50% I also received coupons for $11.00 off my next shopping bill and also a free gallon of milk. All in all it was another good day of shopping.I only wish these stores were better prepared for these sales. When they offer 10/$10 dollars on an item they sholud have plenty to go around but they don't.JUST A REMINDER,GET A RAIN CHECK !

I use coupons a lot  The store hates to see me come in sometimes. I go
when their is not so many in the store so there is not a big line behine me waiting
for them to scan my coupons.
