That is wonderful Myhusband smokes and is not doing verywell today.
He has to sit up to sleep in his recliner, He can't breath when he lays down flat.
He is only 67 years old. His father  and my father both died in 1982 of
Lung Cancer and he quit smoking for 3 years only to start up again.

Oh Sara .... I'm so sorry this is happening to your husband.
The fact that he DID successfully quit at one time proves he CAN do it.   Let's pray that he does.

I did the laundry.  Not a very exciting day for me.  We didn't get any mail, and a Federal judge who walks his dog at the park near us told me he had the day off.

Fortunately, the company I work for it is a holiday!  85 degrees in NY over the weekend.  Saturday was my Aunt, Grandma & Husband's birthday.  My husband did an overnight trip with friends while I & my son visited Grandma in CT.  We all had a good time & love the Indian Summer in October.  A little too warm for me but was gorgeous none the less!  I hope Halloween is 1/2 as nice otherwise I get disappointed in not seeing the kid's costumes because they have to cover with a coat or raincoat.  Halloween is rarely a nice weather day

Hi SARA  S; It s very difficult to quit smoking! It often takes several serious attempts  If your husband wantsto try again( STOP SMOKING) ,here is a tip that helped my husband (who smoked/ inhalled  3packs a day for 25 years )to stop w/less ifficulty than  n his previous attempts:
EAT PEARS;  taste good & contain a natural chemical factor that  curbs nicotine cravings;
GOOD LUCK TO BOTH OF YOU
Kissplease  let us know how he is doing, many of us are fome smokers too & realy careKissHubby hasbeen a non-smokerforover30 years w/ hardly a nicotine craving.He became awalker/rryunne &completed2 marathons& 2 half marathons inonemonth,aazingforaan over60 H e wil be 0yo thismonth& stil walks5 miles daily; excep in snow  storms.Stopping now, even at  your guys age wll greatly improve his qualityof life

I did that too ---- If I'd see some smokers gathered outside a door, I'd head there and stand too close to strangers. Oh, how I loved that smell.    Now I am alarmed by the smell............. did I used to smell like that ?!!? But I still reach for one ever so often   I'm so glad one isn't there

Thanks Carol .......... the bad thing about me quitting is that I didn't do it sooner.
