Instead of sitting here playing with this thing, I SHOULD be cleaning. My condo is a terrible mess and I'm a lazy slob. Any suggestions? What are you doing?

Cleaning isn't my favorite thing although my husband thinks it is. Who will do it if not me. I don't want a cleaning lady sooooooooooo. I like it neat and tidy, although I am a collecter of stuff! Should start getting rid of some since I don't want to have my children dealing with it when I am gone. Too sentimental to get rid of a lot of it. Oh well, guess I'll clean a pantry closet so I can find things.

In Response to Re: Cleaning ---- uuggggghhhh : you could buy a tool chest or other box that can take a small combination lock and place all the drugs in that or even go back to hardware store and buy a door knob with a combination tumbler--------------no keys to look for

Keep the key on you, put on a long chain(wear like a necklace but keep hidden in your top), keep in a pocket, pin it to your clothes, or get one of the wrist twists for keys(looks like a phone cord but holds keys that you keep on your arm) that way you always have it when you are in the bathroom.

my son and g.s. came by mon aft and took down all the outside lights------ deer---trees and garlands--------marked and separated the lights neatly ------timers, electric cords and outlets all rolled up and back in their containers and stored them back in my shed----------they also took down my tree and put it back in the closet --------------brought all the inside containers in and stacked neatly in my d.r.------------

i really miss the lights-------i'm always blue when they are gone

my cleaning lady is coming this aft---------and she will help me put up everything else--------------except for my mr. christmas animated musicals---that have a permanent home in my tv armoire--------i can't bear to put them up although i still have the orig boxes for all

I hate cleaning too especially the bathroom.  Seems the laundry is my biggest problem these days.  It never seems to end!

I bet I have the dirtiest, dustiest place here ......... Except my bathroom.  It's shiny and clean.  After every shower - never miss - I swipe down the walls, door and floor with a squeege.   Then I rub it all completely dry with a towel.  It's shiny, spotless clean.
(Well, the darn cats beat on the shower doors while I'm in there -- they leave some smears.)
And I've learned that a pumice stone is the best/only way to clean a toilet bowl.

i went and got my much delayed pedicure today------------it's been almost 3 months---------and my toe nails were starting to curl------------------i can't do it myself because my nails are very tough and a normal toe clipper just won't cut it for me with my hands that don't work right--------i can manage to clip my fingernails barely--------but not my toes

I've been sitting on the floor between big plastic file boxes and stacks of paper.  I'm sorting out all the 2011 stuff, getting it in the proper file, tossing stuff, wondering what stuff is .........  I'd rather scrub the floor.

I agree Sara.  The only thing I can even think about cleaning in this heat is the basement.  At least it's cool down there lol.

I hate to clean too!  I try to do something small every day.  This way I feel like I accomplished something no matter how small it was.

Thanks goodness we live in a rather small condo......there's not room to be messy.....thus.....less effort to keep it clean.  I certainly will not be doing too much until this HOT spell breaks!!  As long as the beds are made and the counters are clean and the dishes are put away, I'm Happy!!
