STOP SMOKING;( a great gift to yourself, your family & friends)

HiNANCY; so glad you've  put smoking behind you ;sure wish all smokers would/could do that
.I feel unable to"preach"since I never was a smoker butI sate o see people wait till they are on oxygen  tohave ung cancer or need tobe on oxygen tanks to breath; before quitting.I know it's not easy( hubby quit after smoking 3 packs  a day for about 20 years....STOP SMOKING!(  ( a great gift to yourself, your  family & friends)

anybody wants to quit;I'll telll you what helped him:...... he went to a doctor who used aversion therapy.
A dirty ashtray filed w/ butts was next to each patien..t. who also  had electrodes on their hands & sat at a control switch. You were alowed to smoke ifyou really wanted to;  your partner( a fellow patient  zaped  you; .He didn't ike zapping his partner; she had no problem zaping him. That  made it easier for him to zap her. Then the current wasraised & the zapping became more painful.STOP SMOKING! ( a great gift to yourself, your family & friends)

Theewas alsolso h hy[npsis  support( .Between the stink & sight of a dirty ashtray the hypnosis mmessage to stop;& painfull  electric shocks if you tried to smoke & a strong desire toquit,  he was able to stop:
STOP SMOKING    ( a great gift to yourself, your family & friends)

ANOTHER HELPFULL HINT: ful hint: eat fresh pears often .There is some natural chemical( in pears)that helpSto tame the nicotine cravinghE'S  He'sno70 yo &  stli no longer desires to smoke
STOP SMOKING.( a great gif to yourself;  your family &  friends)
He also got off the couch &  began walking. He found that his lungs cleared out( after much  early coughing ) hebegan to walk nd hen run..He ran 2 full & 2 half marathoninon one year after he stopped smoking..He had tried to quit many times before w/o success. The combination of exercise, aversion therapy& htpnosis finally got him to become a non-smoker.This guy had inhalled 3 packs a day for over 20 years, was a realcocuch potato turned into a slender( sz 32" waist again) marathon runner at the age of 41years....STOP SMOKING.( a great gif to yourself; your family & friends)

LOL, I saw the topic & after reading your post, I guess you meant to type SHOPPING, but hopping seems to fit the frenzy of Holiday shopping with most people hopping from one store to another Laughing.

Nancy,  It's awesome that you quit!  My Dad didn't quit until he had heart
failure in a restaurant in Texas. He had tried everything before that but
could never quit!

Haven't even started yet on the Christmas presents.  But then I haven't done the cards yet either or the baking.  Everything is going in slow motion this year lol.

Shopping completed in October (except for stocking stuffers which were completed in November).  Wrapping completed in November.
This way I am just as surprised on Christmas morning at what Santa brought as every one else!  Cool

I'm not a Christmas gift buyer.
The kids in my little art class at church will each get a plate of cookies.
The people I have breakfast with will each get a plate of cookies.
The woman I have dinner with with will get a plate of cookies.
Yesterday I took bags of cookies and candy to about half of the families at church -
Next Sunday the other half will get that.
