At rehab this morning they were talking about how good chocolate covered bacon tasted.  Did anyone else hear about this?  It does not sound that great to me, but maybe I should try it before

I heard abaut the cho. covered bacon on the news, & hubby said the next time I make something that I dip in cho. to make a piece for him to try.  I think the bacon would have to be crisp & cold before covering in cho. OR, I could sprinkle bacon pieces on the cho. (bacon bark) to get an idea of the taste.

There is a big chocolate factory in Cleveland called Malley's and they recently started selling chocolate covered bacon.  I haven't tried it and am not sure I want to, but there must be a market for it or they wouldn't sell it.

As far as having bacon on my ice cream, I say NO WAY!

I tried it.  Well, I tried a substitution of chocolate covered bacon.   I was making myself a BLT and the dark chocolate crumb bars I had made were cooling on the counter.
I piled a few chips on a piece of bacon and ate it.
It was nothing -- nothing special or delicious or horrible.  It was simply an odd combination or tastes.  No big deal good or bad.

LOL, thanks Nancy, I needed a chuckle. Maybe you should have put it in the microwave to melt the cho. a little & then chilled it before eating Tongue out (hubby's opinion)

I believe that there are certain things which should not be combined, and chocolate and bacon are two examples.
