At rehab this morning they were talking about how good chocolate covered bacon tasted.  Did anyone else hear about this?  It does not sound that great to me, but maybe I should try it before

I love bacon and I love chocolate but I see no reason to combine them

I think this one of the salty/sweet concoctions that seems to be popular these day.  Like salty caramel and other such things that are popular.  Actually I'd like to try it and see what it tastes like.

I haven't had the chocolate bacon, but Denny's is offering ice cream sundaes with bacon...eww!

When my younger son was in college in Grand Forks, North Dakota, they had a wonderful candy shop down town that dipped just about anything in chocolate...pickles, jalapeno peppers, potato chips. You have to try it once!

I agree with Nancy G. why put them together. Denny's has a Bacon Sundae. Yes Ice-cream with Maple Syrup & Bacon on top. I didn't try it, because it looked disgusting.

Hi Nancy - Yes, we enjoyed visiting Grand Forks while he was in college, and loved what they have done with the downtown area. There's a farmers market, shopping and dining, so one is encouraged to stroll and spend time there. However we never went during the winter...we're too California-ized and can't bear cold weather any longer. lol

I am not a fan of the salty - sweet combinations.  I don't even like Kettle corn.  So I can't imagine wanting bacon with chocolate.  They are both so very good, why take a chance on "wasting" them if you don't like the result.

I have heard of it, but never tried it - it was a mail order item and I was hesitant to spend that much money on something I wasn't positive I would like...however, I'm game to try it if I ever see it locally!Cool

There is one thing that I just HAVE to have when we go to the Wisconsin State Fair and that is the Cream Puffs but 2 years ago they had a booth selling Chocolate covered bacon and I got a piece.
I have not had any more of the Chocolate covered bacon but I continue to eat the cream puffs.
'Nuff said.
It was ok a little sweet and a little salty but I would rather eat chocolate covered caramels with salt on them for sweet salty or chocolate covered pretzels.
