Celeste, you wondered where to get the seed catalogs. I order from Burpee.com and Gurneys.com and from Parkseed.com and even though the seeds might cost more than the store these people guarant

Check out Michigan Bulb Company as well.
Trust me once you have requested catalogs from one you will get more.

I get a huge pile of catalogs every year.  Last year I ordered from Burpee.  This year from PineTree seed.  I order with a friend from work so we share postage.  There's certain tomato and pepper seeds one can only get from Burpee.  They are fairly expensive, but I found they will still germinate for 3 years.

Compared prices with the seed catalogs and Parkseed.com is cheaper than Burpee and Gurneys.com. They often have sales too.

Have you tried  saving the seeds from the produce you get and then planting them yourself?

I did this last year with some peppers and got a lot of plants and a lot of peppers.  I even gave
some of the pepper plants away.

Debbie, I haven't but have thought of it. Maybe I'll try it this year. Thanks!
