We buy bottled water by the case.  We always have a stock pile of water just incase we have a major hurricane etc.  My husband always takes a case of water when he travels for his civilian job or the military as well.

I buy bottled water for drinking while traveling, and as an emergency supply in our earthquake bag. At home we used to have a water softener, but our city banned use of them due to ground-water contamination. We now have a whole-house filtration system so we don't need bottled or purified water at home.

GRANA here;We used to get bottled water when hubby ran /walked  marathons; bottles were given out @ the finish lineSince then I refil lhose same bottles& drink out of the sipper  tops w/o fear of spiling in the house ; by a cat on the table where they "KNOW" they should not be or by myself w/ my often clumsy arthrtic fingers.I fill & takethem with us on car trips trips& days out (I fil them w/  crystal light( flavor choice)crystal light or O' spray light cranberry juice. When a drink is included  with i our fast food meals I always choose water ..I cannot drink carbonated beverages except champagne orAsti spumonte [NEW YEAR'S EVE]I keep BIG botles of ater in the back   corner of the dining  room om for cooking pasta/ veggies on those same days. Our  municiple  water supply  tastes& smells pretty good so buying water is unecesary.I have, however visited or lived in places whereit wasa abssolutely necessary to purchae bottled water'cuz the tap water tasted &  smelled so terrible.Tongue out
I keep  tap water filled bottles tles on hand( chilled) for those days when we were not notified of our water system  being  flushed ut so we will still  have drinkable water
I keep large  waterfiled bottles es in the  back corner of the dining room so that I wil stll have good water for cooking & making tea/ coffeeon those same daysInnocentWink

ann------

you must have missed the big hub-bub about the pop-ups a while back-------------here you can only find them on (water) bottles that can't be opened or re-filled----and they do not fit any other bottle--------the conclusion was that they could not be sterilized or germs controlled-and should not be re-used

i also have a lot of problems with my hands--------and i loved the tops too-----------i have a real aversion to screwing those small tops off and on

at home i have several of those stadium cups --the old fashioned kind with a handle and lid      about 20 ounces----and chunky---------i use a straw in it

My brother has an Artisian Spring that runs under his property where he will retire. He had a well dug last year and one of the local farmers that keeps an eye on the property for my brother noticed the water bubbling up from the ground and pointed this out to my brother.Once he taps into it or what ever they do I will stop buying water and bring it home from there. My doggies drink spring water also with a little apple cider vinegar added. There is a lot of chatter out on the internet about the benefit of giving cats and dogs apple cider vinegar. One being flea control..I really don't like using chemicals on my dogs.
