not kidding!  some other bugs too , but can't remember exactly

boudin is a cajun sausage---mainly rice, pork and pork liver    onions, green onions, and parsley

i like to use it to stuff chicken breasts  or pork loin
my fav way is boudin balls----------but i haven't learned to make them and most of the restaurants that make them are too far from where i live now ,  i'm pretty sure they just roll the balls     and coat them w/ maybe panko  and deep fry

Thanks for reminding me I have had Chittlins they were ok but the person who made them I don't think she was much of a cook they were kind of blah some seasoning would have been nice.I like escargo, fried and raw oysters, mussels, crab and liver. My daddy used to make Hurka which is a Hungarian sausage made with liver, pork, onions.rice, salt and pepper.I made it with him a few times.I love that stuff so good. Now chocolate ants and grass hoppers I have seen in our grocery store when I was a teen.It must have been " IN VOUGE "  at the time.i have never tasted them but I might if others were having them.I think I would like the boudin.

Turtle taste like chicken when it is fried. WE use big snapping turtles. But you need to keep it in a barrol of water for 24 hours to get the mud taste out of it.

There's a candy store here that carries all sorts of hard to find candy and they have suckers and other candies with bugs and caterpillar looking things in them.

My question is WHY would people want to eat things like that? On a dare maybe? I couldn't kiss anyone that ate yucky stuff. I would always be thinking "what was the last thing they ate?" A good gag gift? I think I'll go back to thinking about what I'm going to fill my crepes with.  :>)

Oh my  god, some of the food on this, eughhh :) Although Im a right chicken when it comes to meat. Here in Ireland, the worse I can think of , and my dad loves it, is Packet & Tripe. Oh god its sheeps stomach in milk. Basically a bowl of hot milk seasoned with salt and peper and this big horrible rippled peace of white meat. Look similar to a fish or something. God its vile but back home in Limerick its a delicacy. Google a pic of it.

I would love love to travel around the states with my husband in a camper van. Funnily I have no desire to go to Australia, even though a lot of Irish have moved there now.

Hi Stacey I sure hope we haven't scared you away.My dad was a butcher so growing up I got to sample a lot of pieces parts.LOL.I have eaten tripe it was in pepper pot soup it was good but I would say I would never crave it.It's all in what you grew up eating.I'm Hungarian and we do eat things that some people would never eat.We do have dishes however that some would die for.
