The weather in south central AR has finally become fall like here - wind chill is 35. Highs are still in the low 60's. Fall is my favorite, but i also lilike winter. We have little spring here - summer can be in the high 90's with heat indexes of 105 to 115 with high humidty - not fun. Mary Ann S.

Temps been dropping to the freezing point in the evening and in the morning, everything is frosty! I am not going to complain, not after the hot and humid summer we had this year!

Temperature is getting cooler but I figure if I don't complain (much) until it gets really bad then the winter may be mostly over.
I think the worst thing about the winter in the mid-west is the gray skies and no sun. I think I could handle winter much better if I could have what I call my "ideal" winter, Snow, Sun and Seventies. I have been told that the ideal exists in Colorado. But home and heart are here.
I think no matter where you go there are good and bad things about the weather, ya just gotta tough out the bad for the good.

I don't like winter at all anymore. But having lived in Illinois most of my life, guess I will just have to put up with it. Besides, even if I complain, nobody will listen LOL. Soon I will be turning on the oven every day anyway to start my holiday baking. Then it will nice and toasty in here. Happy Baking everybody!

Hot cup of tea is nice, evn nicer when u share with a friend. Weather was warmer today, been cold but at 10pm it was 65 and weather person was amazed. Kept mentioning it. Now we have the rain lighting and a tornado watch. Gee............

I agree it's time for cold weather to be upon us. One good thing about winter is the return of the beautiful birds to feast around the yard. We filled the bird feeders over the weekend in anticipation of their return. This morning I was watching the birds eat when one of them started pecking at the glass window on one of the feeders as if it could eat the feed right thru the glass. It finally realized all it had to do was put it's little beak down just a little and there was the feed. This was such a funny sight but was deeply appreciated by this bird watcher. God's little creations are really amazing.

Cooler today than yesterday, low will be in the 30's still no heat. My son tells everyone I have a thing against heat lol. If it gets cold enough I will turn on the heater but for now have not had to turn it on. The coldest it got in here was 56. I can handle that.
