Ohio is a "Winter Wonderland" today, and more snow is expected for tomorrow. It's a shame that I HATE Winter...it really is beautiful.....especially when I am warm and cozy and looking out the window. The front door will not be opened until at least Tuesday when it is supposed to be halfway normal again! Thank goodness for all of my recipes.....it shall be a "baking weekend" here in Northern OH.

It's 28* here in Northeastern Ohio and it started snowing a couple of hours ago and it's supposed to snow the next few days.I'm so glad I don't have to leave the house until Wednesday

It's so windy & cold here in Chicagoland! Can't believe we actually know people who went to the Bears game today... had to be miserable sitting there in this bad weeather!

O'Hare airport cancelled almost 1400 flights due to high winds. The cots have been set out for stranded people to sleep on.

Can you imagine?

27* here in Northeast Ohio and it continues to snow.It's not windy yet,but they are saying it will be.My son works at Cleveland Hopkins airport I'm wondering if any flights have been cancelled.

Nancy that's just too cold,you should move to Ohio,It's a heat wave 27* LOL. The snow continues to pile up about 5-6" the wind is blowing and it continues to snow.I just love when everyone is at home safe and warm.Hot Chocolate anyone ?

Winter has truly arrived in North Georgia. I made a big pot of chicken soup last night. A enjoyed a bowl today with a grilled cheese sandwich. I have lots of baking to do this week, And a party tonight. I have been asked to bring a salad. Does anyone have a quick and easy salad recipe enough to feed twenty-five people? The party is a eight so I have a little time.

Oh my, Nancy, that is cold!! I was hurrying around this morning and didn't notice the temperature but right now in the mid-afternoon it is 19 degrees, kind of windy, and snowing off and on, sometimes heavily. They are calling for possibly a couple feet of snow in our area between today and Wednesday night. A lot of our snow melted off yesterday with the rain and "warm" temperature.....got up to 48 yesterday!!
Alice, that chicken soup and grilled cheese sandwich sure sounds good on a cold, windy day! Hope you enjoy your party tonight!

I must pass on all your stories about the cold to my grandson who just received his acceptance to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute or R.P.I. which is in Troy NY. He is a California Kid, but he did live in New Jersey for a couple of years. I keep telling him to pack his long underwear. Brrrrrr.

Yesterday was 87 here at the house and 85 at the cemetery. Today's high was 83 but it is still quiet warm. about 79 out front in the shade. We did have a nice cold front and rain a couple of weeks ago. Now its back to shorts and tees.
