I have also found that some posts do not appear right away. Sometimes it takes several minutes.
As for the Brownie point I figure since there is nothing that I can do with them at this point I am not going to worry about them. So in my mind they are not "real" just something to remind me how much time I spend on this site. So is that good or bad that some don't show up?

I was having trouble posting. Every time I tried, it would send me back to the home page. Got that straightened out, but now 8000 brownie points have disappeared. Hopefully they will be back tomorrow.

I'm wondering, too, what the Brownie Points are for...I've searched everywhere and can't find they are for any useful purpose...oh well, and so it goes!

I guess I don't really know the purpose of brownie points on the new site. There used to be contests on the old site that involved brownie points.

Yeah I liked the old site better. At least I could find stuff on there. If the Brownie Points don't count anymore why do they still give them? I also would like to know where the Swapped Recipes are? I keep asking, but no one will answer me. I wanted to send a recipe, because I promised that I would send the recipe about the cake that was suppose to sing but didn't. PLEASE would someone tell me where to look?

I am still trying to understand what is the point of brownie points? It doesn't seem that you earn anything with them. I have lost interest in this new web site also. I liked the other one much better.

I just checked my points and I have over 74,000. VBB didn't put
it to zero at the end of the year. I never got anything in all the
years {since 2003} so I don't know why they even have them.
I like the forums and don't care about the points!!!! I just want
the swapped recipes back and not mixed in with the other
recipes.

Just put Singing Cake in the headline & post the recipe in the box & we will find it. Several people have posted recipes in these boxes since the site is still not working right.

Kathy S - The "Swapped Recipes" are no longer at this site. However, there are other sites to get recipes, menus etc. Let me know at this Discussion browniepts and I will jot them for you. I came back to this site after many years just for the "swapped Recipes" and found it much harder to navigate from 1997 & add a few years. So I know what you mean, but VBB says they are working on the return of Swapped Recipes, soon. Recipes are swapped through the very nice cooks and bakers that post on this site within the Forums, but can't put in a choice and pull up a recipe like before. I've only returned one month ago!!! DiAnne H, swapped recipes are at this site but, they are mixed in with the regular recipes. They are tagged "user recipe" and I haven't found one yet that has a photo with it. They are really are hard to find though and it just isn't worth going thru page after page of recipes in the hopes of finding the one you want.

Wa-Ha - Thank you for steering me straight. I was not aware they are mixed in. I guess VBB has a large job in separating & returning them as the Swapped recipes. I do not know this site that well to navigate like I used to & find recipes. That was the reason I returned after many years and could not find those recipes.

Kathy, you can submit a recipe. Go to the upper right corner of this page, click on "My recipe box" when you get to that page there will be a small box that says "add recipe" click on that and you will be able to fill in all the info for your recipe. It will be added in will all the other recipes on the site and it will be identified in a right hand column as a submitted recipe. In your recipe box it will be identified ad "Your recipe"

Wa-Ha, when you submit a recipe you can upload a photo of it. If you do that then you can choose that photo if you don't have a photo then there are 3 that you can pick from, one is a pie crust, another is a picture of a bowl of flour and ingredients around it the last is a brown and white logo I think it says Very Best Baking.
If you know the category that the recipe is that you want you can narrow your search and if you know the name it helps even more. You can still narrow it down by ingredient as well. Not quite as detailed as before but you can select product to narrow the search.

i had found swapped recipes but when i clicked on them nothing was there and last week i couldn't post or write a review i e mailed them and the next day i was logged out . i signed back in and found i could post and write a review.
