I'm with you, Connie C!  My husband loves them; but I won't eat them even on a bet!!  They turn your teeth blue, if you drop one, it stains beyond belief, etc., etc.  I'll stick with my strawberries!!

Blueberries and rasberries aren't my favorites.  I'd rather have a strawberry.

Any berry is a good berry.  When I was a kid, my dad loved berries and grew quite a variety; strawberries, raspberries both red and black, blackberries, boysenberries, gooseberries..... I loved to pick them and eat as many as I put in my pail.  Berries never gave me a tummy-ache

I have picked blueberries since I was 8 yrs. old.  That was my summer job thru
high school.  I earned enough money each year to pay for all my clothes. I also
agree that blueberries taste the best right while you are picking them. I know
that I have eaten a lot of them. lol lol

We picked so many blueberries as kids, my mother would either can or freeze them so we had pies all winter and blueberries on our cereal

A friend of mine that lives in Maine sent this information to me.
I read labels so most of this is not a surprise. I have been showing my Grandson the information on labels as well.
I think it is important to know how to read and figure out the product.  If a can of soup gives a calorie count of 100 per serving but there are 2 servings in a can that is 200 calories if you have the entire can for lunch or dinner.  Many cans will have a noticeable burst on the front of the can touting "only 100 calories per serving".  You don't think about it when you dump the soup in the pan to heat it up.
Fiber and sugars is another bit of information I am teaching him to look for on a label.
With luck we will be raising a generation of informed consumers.
