Nancy, it works.  This is very interesting!! Nature's Path and Health Valley are
the only ones who have real blueberries.

Well, that's an eye opener!  The only one I would expect not to have real blueberries is the pop tarts lol.  Guess I will just add my own blueberries(from the freezer for now) if I want real stuff.

Thanks for sharing this Nancy.

It all goes to show that if you want real blueberries in you baked goods, you are probably going to have to make it yourself.  Another reason why they don't use real blueberries in baked goods is that the blue color from the berries usually runs through the batter, and you end up with streaks of blue through the muffin or whatever.

Nancy, thanks for sharing I have known about the "Not Blueberries" for awhile now. That is why I make as much homemade products as possible.Homemade bakery is so much better for you than any commercial bakery, you control what goes into it.I find it disturbing that the FDA allows such deception.I have seen so many medications that I have taken in the past are now known to cause cancer. We pay huge prices for all our medications that are supposed to be "safe" that were tested, then later down the road it's caustic. All these chemicals they put in our food is not good for us.If you want blueberry whatever buy the real thing and make it yourself.Alright now I'm finished ranting and raving.Bottom line be an informed consumer,do your homework and read labels. Thanks again.

One national product  of breakfast rolls says in TV ads that it contains "cinnabon".  I wonder what cinnabon is.   Way down on Its list of ingredients it  lists cinnamon  and not cinnabon.   Who knows?

Years ago, I would get a bluberry muffin mix that had a small can of Blueberries packed in the box.  You had to open the can and drain the juices ( it turned the batter a yucky color if you didn't) then stir the berries in.  Did this get to be too much work for our "instant " society?
I don't remember the brand but they were good.  I haven't looked for those for a while.

I'm 99% sure this muffin mix was indeed Betty Crocker's. And I think it's still available in the grocery store.

I just bought a huge box of blueberries at Sam's Club, since I know they are very good for you - eating them on my cereal every day and plan to make some muffins this weekend.  Too bad that you can't find real blueberries in products labled to be blueberry!

What a pity!  How have you tried them? straight from bush to mouth is the absolute best but seldom possible.
They are good in pie, muffins, pancakes/waffles, fruit salads etc, etc  oh my give em a try

I'm trying to grow my own blueberries.  I have one large bush that produces pretty well and 4 smaller ones.  Two of them are only a couple years old so they aren't really ready to produce.  I remember as a kid picking wild blueberries in Maine.  They were very low to the ground but you can't beat the flavor of those little berries.

I've read the label on some "blueberry" items and what it says is apple bits colored blue with some kind of artificial flavor.  I don't buy
