Which whole sale store do you prefer and why?  Is one really better over the other or does it just depend on what you're looking for? I use to be a member of Sam's, but due to the fact that they

We only have a Sam's but it is 65 miles from where I live so don't go too often.

My old neighborhood we had Costco & BJ's - I preferred BJ's for the lower cost and larger selection of items.  My new neighborhood has Sam's.  The prices aren't what they used to be but better than a supermarket.  We got about every 3 months for the larger things.  My son works in their electronics department and said people weekly shop like a regular supermarket

prescriptions are not an issue for me----------------i am eequired to fill all maintenance rx's thru my co.s mail order --------------and any script my doc writes for other------------i just go by walmart on the way home-----------the co-pay will be the same          and i can always spend enough time there , as long as i have a cart, to get it filled

I fill all my other prescriptions by mail  using my insurance.  Funny thing about my med for High Blood Pressure it is less expensive to purchase it out of pocket.

We have Sam's and Costco, both about 15 miles from our home. We recently dropped Sam's because the only thing we were getting there was gas and the savings didn't pay for the membership cost. There's only 2 of us at home as well, and we don't need the bulk size products offered at Costco. But we keep the membership and go about 3 times each year for things such as electric toothbrush replacements, and buying gardening supplies. Our sons also like to visit Costco when they are visiting us, for the protein bars, etc. The majority of my buying is done at Trader Joe's, Target or Vons (owned by Safeway). By using coupons and watching for sales, I am most often paying less for what I purchase.

We only have Sam's around here, and I have had a membership for many years - I get paper products, some pet products, produce, and garden supplies (during spring.)  The one I used to go to when we lived in Illinois had gas station which I used, but here in Oshkosh, the Appleton store does not have a gas station attached.

I don't have a membership to any of those clubs.  I get my "bargains" with sales and double coupons.

My mom has a card for Sam's Club and she likes to go there every once in a while.

We don't have a BJ's in the San Diego area. We have Costco and Sam's.
Used to have both and then hubby retired. We have Costco because it is
4 miles from our home and because we like their products better. We also
have a Smart & Final warehouse grocery store that you don't need to have
a membership.

Hi Carol so nice to see you here.I like Costco best too. Here in our area it just seems more organized.I use to belong to Sam's when it was just known as the Whole sale club. Before my husbands work changed hands they used to pay our membership to either Sam's or Costco. Now we are on our own.

nice surprise at sam's yesterday
i usually avoid mondays ----and go early -------because the handicap parking and buggies are usually taken up early and i usually have to really look for a cart because they are somewhere on the parking lot
but since i had the g.s. with me i went
i arrived at around 11:30 am  and they now have at least 6 marked spots on every row and 8 on the central one so we were able to get one
no buggies on parking lot----------but inside they still had 5 brand new ones lined up and waiting---------------when we left they seem to have an attendant assigned to these ----he came to my car   helped unload    and took the buggie right back inside

now i need to get off and try to figure out my new phones and program all of them

I don't have any of those cards......I refuse to pay in order to spend money in a store.  I think the fact that one goes to the store and buys groceries, etc.....that should be enough....one should not be charged to spend money.....especially in this day and age.

I just posted in another section about getting more fruits and vegetables and I figured I should share this...
I just got back from Sam's Club and I tried...and bought...a Lemondrop Melon.  These are great!  I have never seen them before but I will keep looking.  This melon is somewhat like a honeydew but it has a very surprising lemony tang to it. Very refreshing.

i am embarrased-------------my new phone actually has 5 handsets------------and i was already wondering where i could put the 4th one

i've been trying to read the info and don't want to use all the features until i'm more familiar with it-------all i've done is start a list of phone #'s from my other phones
at least this one has a dial pad on the main base that i can enter everything on ------easier for me to use than trying to hold a handset and enter ------once entered it will be on every other phone------unlike my present phone-----------------
my g.s. burned his belly on a weed eater yesterday and had to go to e.r. and is housebound again
so i'll see if he wants to come help me set it up
