The only trees we have left are fruit trees which have mostly lost their leaves.  However we still have to deal with the leaves from all the neighbors.  Can I send some of those leaves your way?  LOL

We had a beautiful weekend.  the sun was out and the sky was blue.  You could really see all the vibrant colors of the leaves.  This is my favorite time of the year.  I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy the leaves because before you know it, they will be gone.

THE SUN WAS SHINING ON THESE TREES THEY WERE THE BRIGHTEST RED LEAVES.HEY I LIKE TO ENJOY NATURE. SHE DOES PUT ON SOME SHOW. EVEN THE SNOW I ENJOY, FOR ONLY A MOMENT UNTIL WE BUNDLE UP TO GO SHOVEL.WE TAKE TONS OF PHOTOS.PEOPLE FOR GET TO NOTICE THE BEAUTY THAT SURROUNDS THEM.

I live on the side of a mountain.  The colors in fall are unbelieveable.  Our whole famile comes over to help with the raking of the leaves.  The leaves are piles to over 6 feet and then the grandchildren run down the hill and jump and dive into the pile of leaves.  The pile is so high that once they jump into the leaves you cannot even see them.  What a grand day that is.

Here in Missouri we are having such a drought that the colors aren't as spectacular as usual.  What there is - is gorgeous but we usually have more.
And tonight we will probably get 1/10" - one-tenth of an inch - of rain. Frown

I live in PA and I live at the base of the Blue Mountains, also, the Appalachian Trail is about 10 min. away from my house.  The leaves are changing and starting to fall but due to the rain shortage, the colors are not so vibrant as other years.  But I must say, my mountains will always be beautiful to me!

I agree....Fall is a beautiful time of year! And I do agree with Preston....Nature is a work of art....but it's God's work of art! (smile)
I love the smell of Fall! I walk along by our woods after the leaves have turned and start falling....smells so fresh and good! Wouldn't it be great if we could capture the "scent" of fall like we do the pictures?!

Our trees are soooo pretty with the vibrant colored leaves, but sadly they don't stay long enough. Especially with the winds and rain taking them down. Us northerners should be very grateful for all of this glorious color. I have a friend who recently moved to Florida and she misses this time of year in New York. She says it's too "green" down there! LOL!!!

The leaves from my black donut tree only turn brown, as do the ones from my plumeria tree. Our miniature orange tree is always green so is the white ash tree in the front yard. Never had to shovel snow, or mulch 6' high piles of leaves. Cold for me is 38 degrees and a lot of rain is 2" in a day.
We are so spoiled here in Southern California. I'll go and visit you and you can come and visit me. but I will stay right here.

this picture was taken on my last mini vacation on the beach. I would head south on the beach and when the sun got to a certain point in the sky I would turn and head back to my cottage, watch the sun go down and say good-bye to another day. I would get to my cottage just before dark. It is a great way to get my exercise and find my inner peace.

I live in a little condo in a little town ... to see any of fall I have to drive.  The maple trees here are fantastic but the colors sure don't last as long as usual ... drought is causing most trees to just turn bown and the maples to loose leaves fast.
